*gives the class an evil grin* By the looks of your chatting, and the fact that I've given you much too much time to study..
((Seriously--sorry! <:D ))
..you should all be prepared for..DA QUIZ! You can use any notes you've taken on this one. And I've formulated to be fairly easy, so I expect excellent results. Turn it in when you're done.
1. Each team is only allowed to have HOW MANY players on the court at one time?
2. What is the name given for the area where one plays basketball? (Hint: look at preceding question.)
3. What is considered a foul in basketball?
a. When a player makes physical contact with another player.
b. When a player is unsportsmanlike, cussing, being disruptive, and whatnot.
c. Both A and B.
4. In basketball, you can score three points if you shoot the ball into the basket from farther away, instead of the regular two points you get if you shoot it from closer up.
a. True
b. False
5. Extra credit!!
Why is it called basketball?

Just sit back and relax when you're done with the quiz while everyone else finishes.
*glides over to Angela* Hello there, dear! I just added you to my roster! If you need help catching up on what we've learned, just let me know.

*doesn't see Madi come in* Ah yes! Well, so far we've learned about American football, soccer, and basketball.
A couple of things to remember, is that the areas of play for both football and soccer are just called fields, while the area of play for basketball is called a court.
The ball used for American football is elongated..similar to a pointy egg, and dark orange in color. The basketball is round, and bright orange. While the soccer ball is also round and black and white.
....That's really it--if you want to know more, I'd be happy to tell you more at some other time.

*nods cheerfully* Well then. As I said, I'm always available in my office after class for additional help. *sits back down at her desk and waits for the remaining students to finish their quiz*
