(( I'm going to go ahead and start... because you are a Loserface ;P ))http://www.pandemic-dawn.com/pics/d/8...
Rose tried her best to avoid the most ruined parts of the city, the ones that were most active with the war, celestial bodies crashing down to earth from heavy blows by their opponents, smashing into buildings like human sized bullets, and sometimes bigger. She didn't want to even glance at these parts of the city, she just wanted to be away from the war, of course that was impossible, because the war was everywhere, and although she mostly avoided the ruined city, today was a day that she couldn't do that.
The pregnancy rate had rose considerably, she noticed as she walked. From Angels and Demons alike eager to birth new recruits to their armies, or humans that truly believed that this was the end and the human race would finally be going extinct. These kind of thoughts always made Rose smile, or laugh a bit because the way she saw it, the human race had been through worse things than a war between the two heavens, it is the second one after all, not that she would know anything about being human, and not that her mother, who walked nervously beside her on the rubble strewn sidewalk, would know anything about her NOT being human.
Elija, still in the astrol plain the world that the humans called limbo, dragged his scythe out of the body of an angel of death "return to the void your brothers will join you shortly" he slashed into the air cutting the fabric of the dimensions stepping out into the real world leaving the body behind he ran a hand through his hair and sealed the portal. He sat on top of the sky scraper he appeared on and looked down at the ruins. There were no bodies whenever an angel or even an nephelium die their bodies disappear returning to the void of which there essence was created. Dispite his extreme dis-taste for war the destruction made him smile. the last time he had been this happy was the age of the pyramids
Rose stopped suddenly, the air was pungent with the smell of new blood, a kind which she hadn't smelled since an angel was killed before her eyes. She searched for the source of the smell, but found nothing. Glancing over at her mother, whom she noted didn't seem to be affected by the smell at all, perhaps she couldn't smell it? But how could she not? The stench of blood like new pennies in sweaty palms, mixed with the aroma of sweet, grass hay, and dust in old houses. It disgusted her, but intoxicated her at the same time. She breathed deeply in the smell, taking it in and storing it like a memory. If ever again she smelled this same blood, she would know. A flicker of light danced across her peripheral, and she glanced up, noticing for the first time a winged shadow at the edge of one of the still-standing buildings, it's metal skeleton barely covered in the concrete meat that clung to the steel bones. Her eyes flashed for a moment as she looked at the shadow, but seconds later, she forced herself to look away, and continue walking with her nervous mother.
Elija spread his wings putting his scythe on his back standing up. he looked down and saw a girl and an older woman, possibly her mother? whoever she was she looked increadably nervous, but the older woman wasn't the one that interested him the girl seemed to give off....a glow? he smirked the girl was a nephelium. she looked up at him but didn't seem to see him fully he enclosed himself in the black feathers of his wings seeping back into the shadow of the building but kept an eye on the girl.
The entire time they walked, Rose felt eyes on her, like something was amiss, though the nerve wracking surroundings, the sound of crashing bodies, and the smell of fresh blood didn't do much to calm anyone's nerves, unless they were completely insane. She had forgotten why they even began the trecherous journey across the war torn city for a moment, and then "Dad, dad didn't come home last night, we're going to find dad." popped into her head like an automatic reminder of what in the world she was doing in the middle of a desolate city while a war was waging above them. her wings ached from being packed under her heavy sweatshirt, she was desperate to free them, but her mother was unaware of their existence, and she didn't want to stress her out any more than she already was. The feathers twitched with her shoulder muscles and she wondered,'If i would have used them more often instead of hiding them, could I fly?' she liked to think that she'd be able to, but the fear of being drafted into either army caused her to push those thoughts away.
once he was safely in the shadows he looked away from the girl and out into the city. the battle was coming to a close, he could feel it. he watched as angels and demons alike were fleeing the battle leaving the wounded nephelium behind. he scowled and flew down to the reckage. "fear not my brothers your rest will come swift" he made a few sweeping motions with his scythe killing the nephelium that could not be helped.
Abner flicked his glance this way and that at the desolate landscape, "What a pitiful place." He sighed, "Does all of earth look like this now? How am I to possibly find anyone to have fun with at all when the entire place is so depressing?" He nudged the body of a human that had obviously been caught in the crossfire of a recent battle. The limp and lifeless laid by the dozens at his feet, but he simply shrugged and spread his wings. Within a few beats, he was airborne, and scanning the grey, silent horizon for any signs of life, scratch that, any signs of ATTRACTIVE life.
Elija heard the beats of wings flapping through the air he looked to the sky and saw an angel flying towards the reckage. he stood up and slashed his scythe into the air cutting into the astrol plain the rip giving off a faint red light. the only reason an angel would be coming back to the battle field would be to pick up anyone who survived and kill them so he had no doubt that it would be powerful. he looked back at the girl once more before stepping into the inbetween dimension
Rose heard him before she saw him, he was so loud for an angel, and obnoxious. He landed in her path, she felt her mother's tension. "Hello there." He said, in that smooth salesman-like voice that would melt the heart of anyone before the war, but now just made people more wary."Hello." She said, placing an arm in front of her mother.
"What are two pretty girls like you doing out here in this ruined city?"
"I don't believe that is any of your business, and since you don't need to know, I bid you adieu and we would like to be on our way."
Abner was taken aback, usually he wasn't rejected like that by a human girl.... wait. Was she human? He examined her closely and noticed a certain glow about her, 'nephilim eh?' he thought, 'this one might prove to be a challenge.'
he slashed back into the real world just far enough to where they could not see him. he had to take the angel by suprise so a direct attack wouldn't do. he looked at his scythe then at the building he was on it wouldn't be enough to kill the angel but it would distract him long enough for Elija to kill him. he jumped down the back of the building keeping in the shadows and landed softly on the ground. backing away a few steps he grabed his scythe with both hands slicing the back beams of the barely standing building and gave it a slight push with his newly aquired telikenesis ability and backed away as it fell to the angel and the two others.
Abner heard the sound of groaning steel and his eyes widened to see concrete asteroids begin to fall to earth. He opened his arms wide enough to catch both of the women in front of him and save them from the falling building, but as he held her, the older, human woman began to struggle, and he lost his grip of her.Alexandra shook her leg more violently. A delusional human man had been attached to her in-flight for nearly thirty minutes, begging her to,"Please take him back to his family." she figured he'd gone crazy, and that his family had died in the war some how.
"I'll take you back to your family old man," She said as she gave one final kick, and he began to fall back to earth.
"Mother, no!" Rose called to the woman. She'd seen the exact same thing her mother had, but she was shocked to a point of frozen-ness, and not idiotic movement like her human mother. A slim woman with red-black wings had dropped her father from a considerable height into the path of the falling building. Her mother had been so moved to act, that she didn't hear Rose's cries of protest over her own cries of "Matthew, Matthew!" as she ran towards the man who could have been nobody else but her husband, and nothing else but dead. The woman cried like a baby, screaming his name and cradling his head in her lap as the building crashed down onto the couple.
"Tch missed" he looked at the angel and the female nephelium "sorry kid" he sliced the fabric of time and space once more walking inside before anyone had time to notice.
Rapiel extinguished the fire of his whips as the nephelium burned and eventually disappeared "stupid child you never even had a chance" he flicked his wrists coiling the whips around his chest and shoulders then heard a loud crash. "hm?" he looked in the direction and saw a cloud of dust smirking he spread his wings and took off "mabey something fun"

Abner looked up to where the falling human had come from. He recognized the slim figure , and the silvery sheen of her hair. The wings were different, but that was expected for someone that had fallen. "Alexandra?" He called. When the woman didn't pause, he took to the air and began to follow her.Rose reached her hand up to the obnoxious angel, "Are you just going to leave me here?" Her eyes were welled with tears, but her voice sounded as it did normally. The angel didn't look back at her, and she fell to her knees, staring at the ruins of the building that now entombed both of her parents. Her entire family was lost in just one day. She ripped off her sweatshirt, revealing her small, dark wings that protruded through two, long slits cut in the back of her t-shirt. She stretched the wings out, until the tips of them touched the rubbled ground, and then began to weep into her hands.
Elija stepped out of the astrol plain not 20 feet from the crying nephelium. "never easy is it" he said softly as he walked over to her kneeling down and covering her softly with one of his wings "the pain of losing someone you love to war"
Rose was shocked to hear a voice, she thought she was all alone. A chill ran up her spine when the feathers of his wings brushed against her back, she instantly stiffened, and brought her own wings back to her body, pressing them tightly to herself. "I wouldn't know anything of death and war." She sniffed as she wiped the tears from her face with the heel of her hand, "I was raised as a human girl, and thus adopted the morals of one. It would be different, I imagine, if I were a boy."
he softened his touch keeping gentle with the frightened child but then looked at her under developed wings "i see that you don't stretch your wings enough" he brushed the feathers lightly "you really shouldn't neglect them your wings are a vital part of your body it would be as if you strapped your arms to your body and refused to use them"
"Like I said before, I was raised HUMAN. Meaning my parents didn't know about my wings, and I've had to keep them hidden for most of my life." She laughed, a bit, "But I guess having both of my parents die now, as i have them out, saves from some very awkward explaining." Her words began to crack just at the end and the tears she had kept back began to streak down her face again.
he rolled his eyes "never be ashamed of what you are and obviously that wasn't your father" lifts up the rubble at the two corpses in their eternal embrace "obviously human"
"Maybe he wasn't my biological father, but he was the one that cared for me like I was his own. And I wasn't ashamed, just afraid. I had no idea what was happening to me when little black feathers began to poke out of my back. Of course this was long before the war, and I had no idea that angels and demons existed. I heard people talk about them like they were real, religious people and stuff, but I didn't believe because I'd never actually seen one." She had curled herself on the dirty rubbled ground, knees pressed tightly to her chest, back arched, and tracing little figures in the dirt with her index finger. She wondered about the strange nephilim boy that seemed to be concerned with her. He didn't have any malevolent thoughts towards her from what she could read from the contact, he was just being sympathetic.
