A faint smirk turned up the corner of Andromeda's mouth and she shifted a little away, pulling up her legs and using a twig to scratch temporary little patterns on them.

"Yep. Well, you better, else in a battle you'd be standing there.mouth wide open while I punch in all the right places. And you're too heavy for me to drag to the infirmary."

She grinned at him, hair hanging down in loose tendrils about her face.

(She kissed Dylan. Now she is fustrated with the world and herself. P.S. Her breakdown is at the circus.)

Dylan chuckled, gobbling up what was left of the strawberry. "What a nice way of telling mr to lay off on the strawberries," he said with a low chuckle.

"Don't worry. I'm not the kind of person that stands in the muddle if battle like a bafoon." He grinned at her, struggling to make little grass plants grow around her.

"Strawberries aren't fat-making," Andromeda protested, then gave a rather childish gasp that was endearing all the same.

Little plants were growing all about her, baby grass blades sticking their shoots out from the ground to absorb the sunlight filtering in through the tops of trees. "That's sick," she enthused, reaching out a finger to carress a blade, loking up at Dylan with an admiring, soft smile.

"Aha. So the 'buffoon' really does have a talent," she teased.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Dylan laughed, joyed that he had managed to become enthused. "Why, thank you! Were you perhaps doubting my abilities?" Eyes that matched the baby grass plants perfectly glared at her, a teasing smile the only thing giving him away.

The grass started to grow more wild, becoming greener and larger as they shot up toward and around the blonde daughter of Ares. They started to grow slower at first, then faster as Dylan coaxed them onward. Eventually, the plants seemed to be dancing, weaving through one another in a tune that only they could hear.

Soon enough two-foot-tall plants surrounded Andromeda, a delighted smile on her face as she glanced around her to finger the plants admiringly, testing the thickness of each supersized blade. They danced with the wind and swirled with it, shot up together as one, as a corps de ballet.

"Maybe I was," she murmured, half to herself. "But not anymore."

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments He chuckled, hearing her perfectly despite her being surrounded by two-foot-tall plants. "Good answer," he said with another snicker.

The plants started to slow in their ballet as Dylan calmed the stream if magic. They weaved, danced, twirled, and spun as best they could without the support of magic. Soon though, the grass had come to a stop, only moving when the occasional breeze blew them.

"I pride myself on giving good answers," Andromeda said, reverting to her teasing smile, though he'd managed to win her respect and that was evident from the glow of her eyes.

"Wish I could do that."

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Satisfaction spread through his limbs, relaxing his muscles and pulling his lips into a smile. The younger, fiery girl respected him. He didn't know how, or what he'd done, but he'd done it. He also had respect for her. Who else was strong enough to live with the Ares campers?

"And I wish I could tell every weak spot just by looking at you," he said with a small, gentle smile. "Though, you can do this," he said slowly, an idea springing into mind.

[* fiery. :( I have to go.]

"I have no weak spots," came the quick answer, little nose pointed high into the air, her eyes closed. But one opened and she stuck out her tongue at Dylan, smiling rather adorably. And if he looked closely he could have sworn that she was blushing faintly.

"Okay, maybe a couple. But you don't need my power to tell those.

And what can I do?"

She tilted her head to the side and surveyed Dylan with a curious smile.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments ((D: bye!))

Dylan chuckled, returning the childish gesture. He would admit, the girl's smile was pretty adorable, and he returned it as best he could. "Suuure," he replied sarcastically, rolling his bright green eyes. "You're just un-stoppable."

He lay down on his back for better comfort, dragging a berry or two with him. He took his time with the answer she wanted, looking lazily at a strawberry and turning it do it caught the light. With a gently smile, he brought the gem to his lips, kissing it tenderely before taking out a small bite of the berry.

"You can build a garden somewhere at camp, or even at home. I'm sure there's a beautiful spot by your cabin where you can grow one." Once again remembering where her cabin was he paused, doubting that any plants would be safe there. "Or my cabin. I'd be mire than happy to show you." He offered her a lop-sided grin.

[*layed = lay down]

The blush that grew pinker at the returned grin only grew when those dark blue eyes regarded the kiss planted on the strawberry, only grew when he offered to take her to his cabin.

Damn. He's got really, really nice eyes.

Shaking her head and fleeing from her reverie, afraid of her own thoughts, Andromeda raised and lowered a shoulder. "Yeah, I'd be better off going to your cabin-- I doubt any plants would be safe with my siblings."

Returning his lop-sided grin with an uncharacteristiaclly pretty smile, Andromeda snatched a couple more strawberries to chew on while she thought, tracing the point of one across the curve of her lips as her eyes trailed off in the distant camp landscape.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments His smile got wider when he saw the blush. It was both amusing and warming to know that she blushed because of him, even if he had no clue why. He took another bite from the red berry, sucking out most if the juice so no more dripped on his chin.

Hm. Her hair shines really bright in the sun. Almost like the sun itself.

At this point in time, the grin on his face could only get wider. "Fair enough. Do you have an idea if what you'd like in the garden? U can show you what plants are in season now, later in the spring, and even in the winter."

It was now his turn to sound proud. He knew almost all he could about plants, even a few dozen recipes for each. It wasn't a gift, not exactly. It was a hobby.

"I like lemon trees," Andromeda replied quietly, her eyes taking on a dreamy look as the soft end of the strawberry tickled her thoughtful pout.

"I like lemon trees, wild irises, blackberry bushes, and pumpkins. If that's not too much-- I don't want to take up too much of your garden."

Thank you.

That much was said in the glowing warmth of her eyes as she turned them to his stunningly green ones.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Eyes touching with the most gentle and kind amusement possible, his eyes responded before he even knew they did.

You're welcome.

He grinned, waving his hand in the air as if to wave off her worry. "Of course it's not too much. That's hardly anything compared to what's in the garden now. He winked at her, light eyelashes catching the light as he did so.

"Besides, my siblings will welcome anyone being first introduced to growing plants." He thought over the plants quickly, not finding it hard at all to remember their seasons.

"Oh, the only thing is that pumpkins don't grow until fall. The rest of them we can grow right now...as soon as we find a baby lemon tree, wild iris, and blackberry bush." He said with a grin, gently putting another strawberry to his lips.

Her gaze dropped suddenly, eyelashes fluttering heavily against her cheek. Because he looked unreal, because he was filled to the brim with sincerity and genuine kindness and acceptance, because his eyes were such a soul-shattering green.

“Well, I suppose we can’t all have exactly what he want when we want it,” Andromeda replied graciously, holding his gaze for a brief moment before sliding interestedly to a ladybug crawling up the side of a grass blade. With a tender expression, she lifted up a finger to gather it gently and set it on a cool patch of dirt.

Absentmindedly, she traced a finger down her thigh, the lean muscles standing out against the supple skin.

“You should know I’m a rather impatient person,” she said at long length with a wry smile. “I usually have to have things new. But I guess I’ll have to wait.”

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Now Dylan had to look away. He focused his intense gaze on the strawberries in front of him, paying close attention not to look at her finger.

"I suppose so," he agreed with a nod, though it looked like he was talking to the basket of strawberries.

"That's okay. You'll learn to be patient over time."

((Sorry for bad post. Will make better later but I gotta go.))

I suppose you're a patient person," Andromeda mused, pretending she was painting of the reddest of achres, the bluest of sapphire with her finger on the canvas of her bare leg.

"You'd have to be, caring for plants."

A heavy sigh ensued; her cherub lips picked up in a half-smile. The hand that wasn't busy painting on her leg reached out to tap his strong wrist once.

"I'll never learn. I'm impatient-- my results must be immediate."

And there was double meaning in the midnight cobalt of her eyes.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Dylan met her bright blue eyes with a small grin. "I'm sure I can get you to be patient." His hand up turned toward her own wrist, a little puzzled why she'd done it in the first place.

His grass green eyes flashed in the light, making them an even brighter, intense green. "You don't have to be extremely patient to grow plants. Of course, if you busy yourself with other things, I'm sure you'll forget about the plants until I mention them." Another smile crosses his soft, tan lips.

"Really," Andromeda said with a scoffing smile, dropping her gaze to the invisible patterns on the expanse of her thigh to avoid going dumbstruck.

I swear to all the gods, I've never seen that colour green before.

"I doubt you of all people could succeed to rid me of that major flaw, and also-- what other things?"

She raised an eyebrow at him, allowing teasing skeptics to enter her tone.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments ((Oh...xD I'm stupid.))

"Really," he drawled out with a grin. He absently picked at the grass blades, making sure to not look at her tan and muscular thigh.

"You like battle training, don't you? You could do that. If you don't mind, I'd love to join you. You look like you've got stuff, and I'm poor with my battle skills."

His smile was nearly blinding. Teeth flashing in the intense sun, he grabbed for yet another strawberry. He popped the whole thing into his mouth with a smile.

Folding her legs under her, Andromeda took one look at that face-- and lost it. It took a full thirty seconds of closed eyes and calming breaths to get her heart back in control.

"I look like I've got stuff, hm?"

She opened her eyes and snatched a strawberry from Dylan's fingers, a darkly amused smile curling her lips in yet another crooked grin.

"Sure. Of course, you've gotta be completely OK with having me kick your ass."

Great. Now all I can think about is making him smile like... that... again.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Dylan tilted his head to the side, his green eyes surveying her face for a moment. The way the sun lit her hair, surrounding her head like a halo. Her blue eyes...gorgeous. They were warm and glowing, almost like the sun bouncing off the water.

He couldn't stop smiling. No matter how hard he tried, his lips stayed in the smile she liked so much. "Battle skills, sweetheart," he said with a snicker.

Plucking another strawberry from the basket, he took a bite out of it, doubting she'd take it after that. His grin shifted into an amused smirk, and his eyes glowed, not just because of the light.

"You've shown me all my weak spots, Andy. I wouldn't doubt that I'm getting my ass kicked."

"So even if I know where to hit and will almost definitely beat you, you'd still want to spar with me?"

Eyes locked to his, head slanted, mouth in a curious half-smile.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Dylan scooted a little closer to her, placing the basket inbetween their nearly touching knees. He kept her gaze, looking at every different shade of blue found in those beautiful eyes.

"Of course. I'm not going to let a little battle practice keep us from hanging out."

Her lag scratched against the harsh strips of the basket as she stretched it out again, and Andy's half-smile grew. She leaned her head back, exposing her neck, and blinked lazily at the sun.

"Well. That's good."

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Dylan grinned at her, bright eyes looking at her for only a moment before looking back at the basket.

"I think so." He ate the rest of the strawberry slowly, enjoying the juices that flooded his mouth with a small smile.

"Are you ready to go to my cabin?" He asked, glancing over at her with a grin.

"Ready as I'll ever be," Andromeda replied with a sigh, using a hand to push off the tree to stand. "I trust you have the provisions for the terribly long journey ready?"

She nodded at the strawberries and grinned at Dylan, holding out a hand to help him up.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Dylan grinned, taking her hand. It was smooth, and very warm. He felt his own face warm at the contact. He had grabbed the nearly empty basket in the process.

"Yup! I'm sure we can get those plants for you, too," he added with a reassuring smile.

Moon (moonstonesandbooks) | 3694 comments A dark haired beauty with piercing cerulean eyes shuffled through the fields of plentiful strawberries. Leena was her name, but campers hardly ever used it, because they rarely ever talked to her. Most wouldn't risk it.

She was unstable, in terms of mental health and her powers. She was like an oxygen bomb, just waiting to explode. The more you spent with her, the more she woould become annoyed, and the more her power festered. Within seconds, he or she would become inundated with panic, not a healthy dose.

Today, Leena seemed calm enough, but exteriors were often deceiving. She was actually a vessel for turmoil at the moment.

Leisurely strolling through the fields with a basket in hand, Cassidy picked a few berries along her way, tossing them into the basket resting on her side. The bandage count on her arms lessened as time progressed, though a few--as with the case of her eyebrow--still remained.

message 444: by Moon (new)

Moon (moonstonesandbooks) | 3694 comments Leena stiffened, as she sensed that someone was near from the tell-tale rustle of leaves and ripping of stems. Was it an animal, a dryad, or a camper? Whoever it was, they were bound to get abused, thought Leena, pairing it with a sadistic smirk. She was pissed, and it was about to get ugly here. She turned around, anxious to see her victim.

[Psycho alert! Psycho!]

Silence. That was always good. Good to contemplate thoughts.

I'm going insane, Cassidy thought darkly. Well, officially insane. Not like, ~insanity~ insane. Then, I say 'like', /way/ too much. Thank eleven years in California for that.

She plucked a strawberry from the ground, her expression... lacking of expression. Unusual for the daughter of Athena.

Cassidy paid no notice to the other camper.

Moon (moonstonesandbooks) | 3694 comments Ah, so her victim was unaware. In Leena's opinion, this usually lead to more interesting and fulfilling panic attacks or abusement. Even if it didn't, all she knew was that the other girl was about to get a rude awakening from her silence.

Leena tapped into her powers, and felt it manifest. Afew tendrils of panic started to seep out of her, and she guided them toward the oblivious girl.

Stumbled. She stumbled. Cassidy blinked, eyes unfocusing then refocusing. What the frick? Her gaze became wary, heart beginning to race as she scanned the area. She pursed her lips together as her gaze fell on another figure, one she matched to a daughter of Deimos.

Awesome. Just. Frikkin. Awesome.

message 448: by Moon (new)

Moon (moonstonesandbooks) | 3694 comments So it seems that my victim is a daughter of Athena. How nice, she thought, as if it really were a pleasant thought. She couldn't remember the other girl's name, but she could at least remember that the girl was from Athena. Her isolation kept her free from listening to gossip, and from really knowing the other campers.

Leena merely thought of the first set of panic as an appetizer, a beggining. Surely, the girl wouldn't think that the pain was over. She doubled the intensity of panic, and added in some mental 'videos', as she called them, of the girl dying a slow painful deaht, of the girl falling off a cliff, of the girl failing school, because she was an Athena girl, of the girl drowning in a pool, and of the girl getting humiliated. These were what she had termed 'brain stuffers', in reference to the phrase 'stocking stuffers', which were generic things that people gave to one another during the holiday season.

Impossible. Flat out, I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E. And yet, she slipped. Physically, she dropped the basket and all that was in it. She dropped to her knees, gasping for a breath as images flashed through her mind far too quickly for her to process anything that was really happening.

Mentally, Cassidy felt herself coughing, decaying, falling away. How she wished that one were true. Then she was free falling. No wait, that wouldn't be correct. But she couldn't possibly think of the correct term for the feeling of falling and fear and panic she felt as she fell further and further away.

Failing. There was always that. But that wasn't anything new. But minor panic attacks were still panic attacks, and still, she felt a tear slide down her face.

Drowning. Now that itself was impossible. She knew how to swim, how to protect herself from even the thought of drowning. And yet, she slipped into a dark void of water.

Jeers. Sneers. Snide comments. Third. Fourth. Fifth. Sixth grade. She remembered.

And she cried.

Moon (moonstonesandbooks) | 3694 comments Leena saw that her visions had been effective, but she continued on. She wasn't going to let any person have any mercy. No, in Leena' opinion, no human being deserved mercy. Not even herself. Not a dog, not a bird, not a newborn baby, nor an elderly person. No one. Therefore, she saw the girl breaking down, but she continued to make the girl suffer.

She decided to next, maybe spice up her old routine. She gave her a 'video' of her being betrayed by someone she loved, the girl being ostracized from her family and friends, the girl being emotionally abused, the girl being repeatedly stabbed by someone she trusted, and the sensation of dying slowly from hunger, while intensifying the other images.
