Maren glanced at the berries growing on the vines curiously, then bent down beside one as if to pick it.

Mallory saw a small girl gazing at a strawberry bush. As she plucked one off, she smiled down at her. "You're supposed to pick them," she said as she stiffled a giggle.
((what does 'thuwie' mean?)) Mallory just laughed, and grinned. "That's ok. The other thing you do, is eat them. But only when no one's looking." To prove her point, she looked around, and popped one into her mouth.
((oh! ^_^)) "If we don't get caught," she responded with a giggle of her own. Sticking her hand into her basket, she hadn't one of her many strawberries to the little blonde girl.
((*gggrrr* thanks. Stupid spell-check *edit*)) Mallory smiled back. She quickly picked a ripe strawberry that was by her hip to replace the one she had given away.
Mallory bit her lip, holding back another giggle. "Don't eat too many, Maren. Too many will make you sick. Trust me." She made a face. She'd made that mistak once, but never would again.
"Ok," Mallory replied, shrugging. "I just hope you don't puke on me. Ew!" She shuddered at the thought.
"Ok, good! I repeat, EW!!" She laughed, and started to pick the plump berries, then dropping them into the basket. Pick, then drop, pick, then drop.
Mallory nodded. "I didn't do much. Though Rosa always took good care of me. It was hard for me without her." She sighed. She'd missed Rosa terribly, but now sge was back with her family. What about you?" She asked her.
Philomela took a breath and sneakily stole a bunch a strawberries as she set foot on the fields. She took a bit into a sweet plump strawberry and licked her lips. She knew that whatever made the strawberries taste so good had to be because of some help from the Demeter kids.
Coincidentally, 'a Demeter kid' had been strolling through. She, of course, hadn't heard the news of her sister returning to camp in more or less one peace. Iviana bent down and examined a strawberry, a faint trace of a smile on her face.
Philo heard the tell-tale crunch of someone walking on the sstrwberry fields near by. She looked up annd smiled. It was Ivy. ((Of course, like I said to Whim yesterday, Philo has been at the camp for a while, so it makes sense if she knows Ivy. They are kinda alike in personality, so they probably would be friends.)) "Hey there Ivy! Whatcha doing here?"
Philo smiled back. "Do you mean here here, or the metaphysical sense? If you mean the metaphysical sense, the I guess it's cuz...well,...I have no clue why humans exist. I have always thought that we are around so that we can tend to the earth, but idk," replied Philo sarcastically.
Iviana let out a small laugh. "You think too hard. What are you doing at the fields?" she clarified.
Philo thought about the question for about a nanosecond before answering "Well, I was hanging out with Sappho for a little bit in the grotto, and then I got hungry after I left, so I wandered off to the nearest food supply: the strawberry fields. These strawberries are so f****** good, Ivy. Seriously."
Iviana stood. "I think Cypress did most of it," she said, "She's really good at that kind of stuff."
Well, I found out that Renille loves me, and Cullen apparently has a b*tch... Iviana didn't dare voice her real reasons. Instead, she shrugged. "Good," she replied in a completely believable voice.
Philo looked at Ivy's eyes for a few seconds. "Ok. You know, if you ever need to tell me anything, I'm right here," Philo said with sincerity.
Philo accepted the answer. "Ok, I ((don't))believe you. Well, I heard that Caspar came back. Ouch. The whole Myra-Caspar-Ajax-Rose thing sucks."

"Oh. So that means..." Iviana trailed off. Her sister was probably dead. Why did she feel so neutral?

((ah it's okay. You haven't been here long. Deitra Davis was originally supposed to die on the quest, but her angst died instead. So therefore she's still alive. But everyone thought she died on the quest)
"Anyway, that love square is going to end with a tragedy. I know it. Hopefully one that's not fatal," Philo predicted.
"Hopefully." Her voice was detached. Iviana was still pondering. Where was the body? How did Deitra die? Questions circled her mind.
"So...hey! I just realized something. You're sister...Dedire,no um.. Dayna,no um.. Deitra! There it is. Anyway, she's back," Philo said without noticing how detached Ivy was.
Several seconds ellapsed before Iviana registered the words. "What? She was... I thought she'd be.... Where is she?" she finally managed to blurt put.
"Oh my gods," Iviana muttered, pacing back and forth. The leaves of the strawberries crept towards the daughter of Demeter as she paced.
