"I'm 13. Are you new here cause I haven't seen you around?" SHe said trying to recall ever seeing the girl before.
"Ya, I'm new. Who is your god parent?" questioned Ashland.
"1st day here, I'm exploring. All I've seen was this field. I don't have any stuff, so I didn't bother going to my cabin."
"Also don't be worried about being new. You will fit in alright. Just some friendly advice" Ana said eating another strawberry.
"Okay, ummm... I'm going to go find my cabin."
Anthony looked at Diona. "Where do you eat? You eat in tables? You, like, got all the time in the world! When we went hitchiking, we ate standing up, in cars, chariots, whatever!"
Rose rolled her eyes, but so Anthony couldn't see. He was obviously a newbie all together. He sounded stuck up. She gazed around her, and saw a butterfly fly past them. She gazed all the busy campers picking the Lucious red fruits. The sun glinted off her rapiar as she swung it.
Rose just shook her head. This boy seemed desperate to make a good impression. She just answered his question as she listened to the grass hit each other in the wind. "Yes, we eat at tables. Thus is a camp, isn't it?" Her lips twitched, and she placed her hands on her small hips.
"Yes" he said slowly. "And where do I sleep? I see like a million cabins, and--' he sighted cabin 7 and said: "Ooh, I'm staying there!"
"yup. There are beds in the cabins." She explained, her voice tight. For a boy who had been on the run for months, he seemed like a picky rich kid. His attitude didn't impress her at all. She watched a bird pecking at a strawberry. She couldn't see what kind of bird, because the sun was in her eyes.
Rose looked back at Diona. She smiled at her, then stuck her tongue to the side. She pretended to choke herself. She looked at Anthony with a curled lip.
"You assume I'm weird.." he sighed. True, he had been on the run for years, and he seemed kind of picky, but, still...he was weird even with his own brothers. Andrew was the strategist. Arthur the fighter. But him? Nothing important. Decision making? To h#ll with that.
((you don't have to censor hell))Rose stopped laughing. She hoped that she hadn't hurt this young man's feelings. "Oh, no! I don't think you're wierd." Just stuck up
((my computer goes nuts if I don't censor))Anthony said: "No, it's okay! I haven't talked with much demigods that have actually been in camp. Just runaways. And I'm not like talented like..." he stopped himself. Was he going to give away his brothers' existance?
Ari wandered over to pick a few strawberries. She fingered χρυσανθής, her sword, and cut off a vine plump, luscious strawberries, and sat down on the fields. She thought about her first day and whether or not she would find any true friends or people to guide her. It was the end of her first day and she had managed to meet Cassidy and Stephen, her half sibs, be warned about Chaumnelle and the Ares and Phobos kids. It was a lot of info to take in. After half an hour of just day dreaming, Ari fell asleep on the soft field and dreamt some dreams of her old and new life.
Straw sticking out of his mouth, Ajax lay half-hidden in the tall strawberry plants, sun warming his face, adding it up to the internal glow.
Why didn't I do this before...?
Why didn't I do this before...?
Rose was walking through the strawberries, trying to calm herself down. She was still worrying about the missing wine bottle, and was now thinking of Ajax and his interesting tatoos.
((o.O What? How could anyone know? Sorry to but in, but how? O.o))
Lying there with his eyes closed, the faintest stir of a smile gracing his lips, Ajax felt happier than he had in a long time.
((Yeah... how would she know?
... Then again, the nymphs and campers gossip a lot.))
((Yeah... how would she know?
... Then again, the nymphs and campers gossip a lot.))
((that's what I was thinking, but I already edited)) Rose was walking through the fields shakily. She wasn't paying attention and almost stepped on Ajax.
"'Ey!" Ajax called, narrowing his eyes and jumping up, dusting off the dark purple shirt. "What are you, bunking off somewhere?" He looked up an an apologetic smile crossed his features, all traces of slang picked up on the streets of London disappearing from the deep voice. "Sorry about that, Rose," he said.
Rose stared up at him in shock. "Oh, Ajax! I'm so sorry, I should have been paying more attention." She told him, warmth creeping up her neck, but she forced it down with a smile.
"Oh, it's fine, I did go a bit bonkers on you," Ajax said with a shrug. "How've you been?"
((He's standing up.))
((He's standing up.))
((oh. Ok)) "Well... Good for the most part," she told him. Age wasn't about to mention the wine bottle. "How about you?" She asked him, oblivious to the romantics he was in.
"Great. Ace. Completely absolutely brilliant," Ajax said with a wide smile. "Holly and I," he said, glancing down, half-shy but with that telltale glowing look of satisfaction, "we're together."
Rose snapped her head up, her eyes sparking with shock, then anger. "Uh, what?" She asked him. That can't happen! That's impossible! Holly and my brother are together!
"Holly. Holly James," Ajax said, his own expression clouding. "Is there something wrong--?"
Oh, shit.
"It's not official until she tells Caspar," Ajax said defensively.
Oh, shit.
"It's not official until she tells Caspar," Ajax said defensively.
Rose stared at him, not fully believing him. "How...? How the hell did this happen? Not that you aren't attractive or charming or anything," she added quickly, looking at her shoes. Her hand reached for her rapier. Her hand tightened around the hilt.
"Chill, Rose," Ajax said, eyebrows furrowing. "Me and Holly have known each other for years. Five, to be precise... we fought over something three years ago and didn't talk since. But..." he shrugged, smiling so brilliantly again he look like a dark angel. "What can you do?"
"I am chill." She told him, biting her lip. Do you even know how long my brother and Holly have known each other? He loves her! She wanted to scream at her. Instead she said, "what did you fight over?" She asked curiosly, trying to stay calm.
((Caspar has known Holly for all but two months.))
"It's... personal," Ajax said finally, obsidian eyes glinting sharply.
"It's... personal," Ajax said finally, obsidian eyes glinting sharply.
((ok.))"Nevermind then," Rose said, suddenly having an urge to flinch away from him. She stood her ground though. She couldn't help but wonder why she was scared of him.
"I'll see you later, then, Rose," Ajax said, a little coldly with a curt nod, turning around to walk back to his cabin.
"Yeah, sure." She told him, just as coldly. She stalked away from him, gripping her rapier tighter. She clenched her jaw, her eyes stinging. The tears weren't for her, though, it was for her brother. Her poor brother, about to be heartbroken brother.
Ari woke up in a daze and looked at her surroundings. She saw that it was morning already, which meant that she had slept there overnight. With a groan, she got up. She looked at her dagger to see how she looked, and she saw that she certainly looked like she spent the night on the strawberry fields. She looked like a mess. Within seconds, she didn't care anymore. I'm not a daughter of Aphrodite. It's not like anyone would care. She ran her fingers through her matted hair, and sauntered off to her cabin.
