Heidi | 2446 comments I'm half done with Witches' Bane (China Bayles, #2) by Susan Wittig Albert , which serves a dual purpose as it also covers the featured author for this month (I cheat, I know!)

Michelle (mgauffant) | 63 comments I'm a little late on this, but I just started The War of the Worlds Murder by Max Allan Collins; it's about a stunt broadcast during a radio show on Halloween, which coincides with a murder. Sounds like a fun read :)

Have you read the others in Max Collins' "Disaster" series? They're all quite good! Others involve the Titanic, the Hindenburg, the Lusitania, Pearl Harbor and the London Blitz and each involves a popular author of the day.

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 29 comments Oh my, I totally forgot to post this but I finished both Keepsake Crimes (A Scrapbooking Mystery, #1) by Laura Childs (10/08/10) and The Trouble With Magic (A Bewitching Mystery, #1) by Madelyn Alt (10/23/10). I enjoyed them both. I think I was surprised by Keepsake Crimes because I'm not into scrapbooking at all but I must enjoy Laura Childs's writing because I still liked the story, the characters and the mystery. The Trouble With Magic I think suffered more from "first book in the series-itis" but I still found it an enjoyable, quick read and will probably continue with the series.

Sherrie (vampirekisses2) | 426 comments I still haven't heard from Suzanne. Would anyone object to someone taking over if I do not hear from her by the 30th? Those interested could even share the responsibility.

I really enjoy this challenge and would hate for it to end.

Sherrie (vampirekisses2) | 426 comments I was thinking "family" and Thanksgiving too of course. I like the books theme as well or a book set in a library, bookstore or has a librarian as a main character.

I don't know if three themes are too much with States, Autumn and Clue running around here.

Perhaps we could do

1.- A book about Thanksgiving or family
2.- A book about books: Library, bookstore, book collector, bookbinder...

Kim (catmommie) My final results were:

Ghost of a Chance and Murder, She Wrote: Trick or Treachery. I could've read Susan's Spanish Dagger, which is about paper-making, but I ran out of time with other challenges.
