Glen Elm library would like to include a title from the Sask Book Awards -- either one of the nominees or the winner. The short list won't be out until mid October, and the winner won't be named until the awards in late November. We can just use the title "Sask Book Award book" as the title and slot it in whatever month.
All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy. I've read one of his other books (The Road) and I enjoyed it.

I'm very interested in reading something by Cormac.

My Booky Wook
I saw him interviewed on The Ellen Degeneres Show and I'll be the book is a lot of fun.

The Sentimentalists
This just won the Giller Prize. It will probably be difficult to get a copy for the next while. It's a small publishing house.

Cool Water
2010 Governor General's Award for Fiction
Author lives in Regina, I believe. It's supposed to be a book you can't put down.
This is also one of the nominees for the Sask Book Awards.

The Dark Mirror
This was recommended by a patron. She said there were interesting Celtic references and it was a page turner and a good choice for someone unfamiliar or unsure of Fantasy Fiction.
