What have you just bought? (CLOSED)

For sure! In the last 2 or 3 months I've amassed about 170 books, for the Nook and some in paper form. RIDICULOUS. My problem now is deciding what to read next!

I read this book about a month ago bought on whim loved it and then read how author got the plot and all made clear

State Of Wonder
Honolulu (woohoo!)
The Glassblower of Murano
I also bought on my Kindle Vanilla: Travels in Search of the Ice Cream Orchid for our #2 challenge.

I keep debating with myself about Divergent.

For my Nook Color I just got

Brilliant enjoy xx

I will indeed Chrissie.

I just bought smut by alan bennett.. "
So have I, but I'm not going to read it yet, because I am more excited about the imminent arrival of two Mervyn Peake related purchases:
Titus Awakes

Peake's Progress: Selected Writings and Drawings of Mervyn Peake

I bought:
December 6,
The Turquoise Ledge: A Memoir,
Contempt,
Tomato Rhapsody: A Novel of Love, Lust, and Forbidden Fruit,
Wesley the Owl: The Remarkable Love Story of an Owl and His Girl,
On Writing
The Aloha Quilt.

Most definitely!! ;)

I loved that book!

Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption
The Dry Grass of August
Wave of Terror

I'm really excited about this book. There were two reasons why I chose it. One is that I love owls! We seem to have a connection.
The second is that friends of mine in Florida have acquired a screech owl. Liz has worked with animal rescue for many years and thought she had retired until a tree limber brought her a baby owl in March. They've named him Timber. Every now and again they post vidoes of him on Facebook. There are similarities between Timber and Wesley.

Wait until you meet Wesley. He loves playing in the bath.

Yes, I read your review. It made me even more excited to read the book.
Timber loves the bath too. I enjoyed watching a recent video where Liz had put some water in the bottom of the sink and he played with abandon.
Love Love Love Owls! :)

I just ordered The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxset for my grandson, Warriors Boxed Set for my granddaughter, and House of Leaves for myself.

I've read it before, but I don't own a copy. It's a WWII novel about a 1944 plane crash that happened in Alaska. The actual story is pretty unknown, but the author does a good job of making it realistic and exciting at the same time. My dad's a huge history buff, and there aren't many books out there about this specific incident, so hopefully he hasn't read a lot about it!
