Kat (katzombie) | 2478 comments Puzzles! My preferred entertainment when flying (I can never concentrate to read on planes) - I've spent nearly 24 hours doing Sudoko's when I flew back home last time!

I've picked up three Kindle books today:
The Knife of Never Letting Go
The Burn
Everything You Need to Survive the Apocalypse

I wish I got mine that fast they rarely come before 3 weeks. One of mine got lost in the mail and the author refused to send me another copy.

Judy, a good puzzler wouldn't be caught dead doing a puzzle in pencil. Invest in pens.

LOL I love crossword puzzles and other types of puzzles and I also use pencil : ) My boyfriend and son are both Sudoku fanatics and do them daily (sometimes a half a puzzle book or more a day) and they both share the love of using pencils.

Janice, I hear you. One sheet of paper on a solid surface and pencils feel great to write with. But on a softer surface, like in a notebook, I'll got with a pen if it's handy. (Geez, are we nerds or what? Look what we're talking about; in front of other people, yet!) LOL

Oh, yes, pencils are serious business. You've never heard of The Palomino Blackwing pencil? Apparently the earth stopped revolving at the same time it went out of production but lucky for us the company was purchased and the pencil is once again available!!!

http://www.pencils.com/blackwing

Anne, you know that this is an all-inclusive group. Welcome your pencil loving sisters with open mind and arms. ;D

message 548: by Anne (new)

Anne (reachannereach) Very nice pencils, Mikki. (Do you use those Blackwings? ) Don't get me wrong. I am pencil loving sister! I use them all the time (the "automatic" ones). But, as explained above, I used pencils and pens for different things.

message 549: by Mikki (new)

Mikki No, I use gel pens because they're easier for me to write with (don't require as much pressure), but if I did use pencils those Blackwings would be very tempting to try at least once!

Maybe one of the pencil users here will purchase and let us live vicariously. Janice? Robin?

message 550: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60012 comments I've never heard of them. They may not be available in Canada. I prefer mechanical pencils.
