RandomAnthony | 14536 comments NPR has an awesome story on worldmapper maps, an organization that creates maps and animations "re-sized on each map according to interest." Very cool. Here's the NPR story:

The shapes are too bulbous and lumpy. It makes it impossible to know what country is what, without labels. Maybe if they had kept the borders roughly the same shape...
