Word games is smthng that we can start over here too, i.e., if sufficient ppl are interested, but we need not copy any of the other forums.

Ppl plz suggest smthng interesting that u can think of.

we can play 7 letter scrabble. One person will start with a seven letter word, the next person changes 0-1 letters to make a new word and so on. It is quite addictive. If no one else plays, atleast me and Gautham will ( as both of us are already addicted to it)
we can also play word association (another of Gautham's favourite) First person types one random word, the next one associates it with the first thing that comes into his/her mind.
If I type 'bubble', gautham may type 'gum', from there I may go on to 'rubber' and so on....

reg the first game, how can one change zero letters and still make a new word? am confused :-(

you may change the order of letters to form a new word, for example,
spoiled and despoil - no letter changed

What do u do when the word is a 'stubble' ? Can you just use 4 letters and say 'tubes'?

no- it should be 7 letters, you can make bubbles by changing t to b

Amazing games we've got.
The country game is absolutely gorging! Lots of new places to learn about.
Scrabble for some exercise to the brain.
Word-assoc, for some lite chit-chat
link-sentence for the job-less, ok kiddin', for the really patient ones..
story time for the creative souls.

Reg. scrabble: Do u really think we should cancel some words because they are repeated way back from as far as first post? Or maybe we can continue as far as no one notices that immediately, else we may continue, wat say?

Sherin, this is not just against ur post, its a general doubt as is, because sometime in the past we did get along with certain words which we know are repeated but were too lazy to go thru the posts and find out the post number :-)

An idea to modify the scrabble game, posted this somewhere earlier too..

The person (let call him challenger) posting shud also post some restriction on the next word (ex: curr word is pencils, next word has to start with 's') if no one posts within 24 hr, the original challenger shud post his answer

just now, I saw that Abhijith had already introduced word game (which I later introduced as toy with a letter) and even I had played. I dont know how I forgot about it, and introduced another game with the same theme.

Another game that could be played in a forum is "Lateral thinking" game. Here a scene would be described and others have to ask questions and find the story behind it. QM would only say Yes or No. Somewhat like 20 questions..

i love this game - 3 word story.

each person is allowed to post 3 words. these words should chain with the previous post thus forming a story finally. it is great fun. and the story can sometime take some seriously amazing turns.
