I don't really know how the aging and maturity of a Slug Demon compares to a Charonte... you got me there DHfan. Now I'm very curious!!!!!

Yea, although I think that Samia said in No Mercy when she was reading one of the dead slug demon's goo on the floor that Slug demon's thinking capacity wasn't the greatest. So maybe they are mentally slower than most demons in their world...Either way be interesting to find out.
the more Simi the better. She is so funny, & I look forward to more of Simi and her sisters. The Thanksgiving short story was great. She had her own table at Sanctuary and the rest had the other table, and she wanted to dance & so Acheron made everyone dance. I laughed so hard at that part.
I can't wait! Its sure to be a crazy good time!

Ash's book ends part 1, part 2 will be about Jaden, part 3 Savitar and part 4 about a charcter not yet introduced so hopefully we get a big book (like Ash's) about Jaden explaining everything but it will probley be a while or jared and jaden together? oh darn im confusing myself now...arghhhh!!!!! this is driving me nuts...someone wake me when those books are out lmfaohahaha
Simi could have her own YA series! on a different note Kenzie from Lost Girl would make a great Simi .

I'm hoping it's not Nick (and for reasons other have mentioned I doubt it is). I just can't get my "like" on for Nick. Maybe someday. In the early books, I just thought he was a smart azz when I thought of him at all. In Valarien and Tabby's book I thought he was just mean. After his mother died, he just plain makes me mad most of the time. I love Ash too much I suppose. To be saddled with Nick as a son and law after all the torture Ash has gone through is just wrong. Yes, I know, Nick will eventually redeem himself, but really, right now he just makes me mad.But I'm sort of hoping it's not Nim either. I'm hoping for something totally surprising...perhaps the human owner of a Pit Barbeque joint? Or maybe Urian..Urian deserves his HEA?
I do want books on Savitar and Jaden. I want to know their stories especially Sav. Can't wait for Simi to have her own book. She cracks me up lol. And I finally want Nick to reach his demondom or whatever he's going to turn into. What do you think his relationship with Artemis is all about?

Ok, SK better start writing hard and fast to keep up with her fans :) . Nick and Artemis? Heck, I don't know. A symbiotic relationship between two people using each other for their own purposes, but I have yet to figure out what that purpose is....

Libbie, I actually kinda like Artie. I don't think we can judge her on the same scale with anyone other than another God/goddess. She's never been human. Her hideous actions seem to me more like a selfish child's knee jerk reaction than premeditated malice. I hoping that Nick gets the "With great power comes great responsibility" message at some point and gets things right with Ash. In the meantime, I reckon he'll still get under my craw.
@Adam, love it!!! But I think (and I say that because I just read Katra and Sins book) that Artie is going through a few changes. She won't give up being spoiled and trying to get everything done her way, but she has moments - and not only in this story - where her soft side shows. I mean, have a look at the Greek Panthenon. They are all related somehow (incest included) but there is constant fighting over power and who is the head honcho. Well we all believe Zeus had them under control but that is not quite true. A few always tried to overpower him and he turns like any despotic ruler into a paranoid psycho. What happened when one of the DrHs played a prank on him? He punished them all for it. Who was the one again who walked out as a god (or semigod) on him and was tortured in Zeus' hall because he did not defend himself. Artie has grown up in a very brutal and unrelenting environment. Even with her god powers she seams to be a torn character between being the person she wants to be (loved and loving) and the one who is afraid of the repercussions of her relationships with humans, Ash in particular (she is supposed to be a virgin) and gods from other panthenons (Ash, Sin, Apollymi and others). She is also a means of keeping the balance between humans and deimons by creating the DHs. Whether she takes up responsibility or not she is the one who choses men of battle with an extreme sense of justice to prevent the deimons from taking over the world and ending humankind. -We have only 7 billion people on this planet-. AndI LOVE her red hair!!! ;o)

As for Simi having her own book, GREAT. When? I love her and I think that when Nick gets his freaking act together he should claim her (in a couple of thousend years!!!) How old is Simi now? 14? 15? Wasn't she about 4 when Ash got her? So when she hits the 18 she may as well be classed as a grown demon. Nick has already been to Kalosis (right?), so why can't he then stay with Ash, mend their rift and they keep the balance of the universe together?
I know this hasn't been updated in a long while but I'm kind of getting the vibe from the more recent CON books that Simi's HEA could be Caleb.

I know, but I mean in the main series. As CON still seems a little far fetched, to match what we've read thus far in the adult series. Cause the Simi we know from the adult books, has always read like she barely knew about very many other demons a good majority of the time. Unless she keeping secrets even from Ash, and that'd be a big no, no.
Well, I don't quite agree with that because, even though she didn't know any other Charonte for a long time, I'm assuming she snacked on more than a few demons over the centuries. And Caleb is a bit like Jaden in that I think most people have at least heard of him (Jaden, as a deal broker with demons, seem well-known in some circles). I'm guessing Ash does know Caleb - as he does in CON - even if the CON series doesn't exactly fit with the main DH series. And Simi has certainly purposefully deceived Ash multiple times. She helped hide the fact that he had another daughter and then she went behind his back to sleep with his best friend (which, regardless of CON, she definitely knew since she would have been on Ash as a tattoo during their interactions and probably would have heard about him from Ash himself). She's lied about way bigger stuff than possibly knowing Caleb.
You can snack/eat anything, as we've often learned Charontes do. But I'm saying for someone of Caleb's calibur, that is a far bigger fish to fry. And yes, most peeps may have heard of him true enough. But Ash to some degree is still rather protective of his FIRST daughter to some extent. So I don't believe he would have had her with him during ALL his interactions with various creatures. Probably actually kept her home for most. So she likely has not heard of him at all thus far.I never said she hasn't had her moments of deceiving him. But for something as big as meeting her HEA...yea, something tells me there is going to be some kind of inkling about that one going down, one way or another. As for her interactions with Nick, that is correct, as that would make sense regardless of CON story time. But I'm sure even since then, Ash has been more careful whom he has her around, when she is on his skin since then. If I recall there was even a time she wouldn't let her go in Ias and Danger's book, do to said Nickly interactions. As he is definitely not one to do the fool me once, stab me in the back twice sort.
And honestly if we look at the lies she did tell, it was in some form of protection to Ash. As that is a Charontes MO as well. Part of their nature really.
But I still hold to, when the CON an main books merge. That we are just dealing with 2 totally different reality of characters really. As the ones in CON know a hell of a lot. And in the main series things are still getting flushed out. So I don't really hold any of the characters to the actions of their other incarnations in each series. Well save for Artie, Apollo, and hell even Ash's mom. Some peeps just stay consistent throughout regardless of the framework of their world.
Yeah I'm holding trying to control my expectations in that regard too because trying to figure out HOW the series could even mesh together at this point is giving me a headache.
And that is why I consistently speak of them as two different realities. I know SK has said many times that the CON world is the real aspect of how things should be going. But it's just a wee bit too much to process all as one big lumpsome, especially how it's all been written thus far. So we shall, see what occurs together as we go along.

The people in Mennie's trashed store with Kody were: Caleb, Xev, Nick, and Jaden only. I just feel that he haven't even met Simi's future husband yet in the series (plus Sherri was asked about this and said that it was someone we haven't me yet).We know from Invision that Amara looks basically identical to Simi. And that Lucien has "bright green eyes and wavy blond hair, there was something strangely familiar about him. Yet, Nick couldn't quite place him."
Sherri for the most part has like 95% of her characters look identical or nearly identical to their parents. Such as Ash, Styxx, Apollymi. Adarian, Nick, Cyprian. There are so many twins, quads, and whatever else in her various series that look identical to each other so I doubt that Amara and Lucien transformed there physical characteristics based on their Charonte abilities. Sherri wouldn't bother with that since they're more minor characters and aren't Cyprian trying to confuse or trick Nick.

In Illusion, Alt-Ash's biological granddaughter from Katra looks exactly like Simi, who is supposed to be adopted and therefore unrelated to Ash. I mean, sure she could taking on Simi's appearance for some reason, but what would be the point of that? It's kind of...ghoulish.
Also I'd just like to point out that the reason Kody isn't saying anything in their presence in the store might be precisely because one of them is Simi's future husband. Plus, let's remember her knowledge of the future is unreliable at best.

As the truth always has the other side's perspective, the main person's perspective, and other variables somewhere in the middle.
As for Simi and Ash being related. I still feel like there is far more story to tell as the Charontes have always been most loyal to Apollymi anyway. Above all any other Atlanteans. So I think there could have been a blood bond or something that connected their destinies and families for life since Simi's mom was alive. Just so much we don't know about that side of Apollymi's and the Charonte history to really know specifically.
But I still think at the end of the day, our collective socks will be blown off when whomever is revealed to be her husband comes out. I still staunchly vote for no Nim partnering though.
