I have family in NY and they're staying there... apparently they also gathered hurricane stuff. My boss's daughter moved to Pennysylvania.
@Duane - Reading books sounds like a plan :) Defo better than TV.

Good luck with Weight Watchers, Duane and Zeenat. My father lost a lot of weight thanks to it but then he ate "normal" again and yeah... That was it. LOL
Welcome back, Mello! I took good care of Illium. :-P
I agree with Arushi, I hope the storm will pass away without causing any more big damage.

*whistles innocently*
The storm passed through the DC area with no big fanfare - the winds and rain died down around 2am. Of course, now a lot of people get the day off because everyone announced closures last night when it was kickin'. Me? I go to work everyday.
@Sarah - I did WW before, went from 180 lbs to 155 lbs - everyone thought I had cancer because I was so gaunt; shallow cheeks, loose pants, baggy shirts, you know, skinny. I said screw that and started eating again. The truth is I feel bad when I'm heavy so screw it - people can think what they want - I'm dumping the weight.

That's the right attitude!

*sharpens blades made just for use on Sarah and Arushi*
My office was closed, too, but I had to work from home. Somehow there is no justice in the fact that some don't have to work and some, like those who are in IT, have no choice in it. No big deal, I would be bored to death anyway; I was off for far too long for my own good.

@Mello - I'll come back when you've mellowed down :P *runs away*

No better way to be at work!

See why I choose faery?

See why I choose faery?"
I guess I'm the kind of sick puppy who likes necrophilia AND bestiality. But not at the same time, so that's OK, right?? ;)

Maybe I should change my title to "Lady Marlowe, Team Necrophilia" though I think that might scare off new members LOL!

Those two above (Cheech and Chong!)would be insulting to the aliens! Might start a global conflict.

So when you say "Those two above (Cheech and Chong!)" are you talking about Edward & Jacob or me and Zeenat LMAO!!
I'm talking about Edward and his nemesis - I'd never be so rude as to insult you and Zeenat; at least not that you'd know of! LOL!

I think we can say Bella got the man she deserved in Twilight, and leave it at that!

What the hell is it with women and pirates? I feel like I'm missing something...

Necrophilia, Bestiality and Xenophilia.
I wonder... what about angels? (Demons has already been asked.) But I think that is covered in Bestiality.. or would that be Aviality?
@Claire - I think its the modern take on the successful caveman, which is not that modern now.

Oh my!! Some people are just determined to take the fun out of everything! ;D
Clearly, from their point of view, I'm some kind of sex fiend! LMAO! **Shakes head and sighs** my poor poor hubby!
I'm on all of the above teams! lol
necrophilia, beastiality, Xenophilia... oh wait... Aviality on counts if I'm allowed the fallen too! :D
(Hey, I'm a Libran, we don't like to make choices like these! LMAO)

LOL - unless its Captain Jack I have to agree with you...
And the cavema mentality does nothing for me! :)

Well its okay.. I think most of suffer from a few of those (or more than a few)
You like Captain Jack Sparrow? Excellent! But he is thankfully nothing like the Pirates in the books.. so I don't think he counts..

I think it's the eye patch personally! :D

Eye patches ftw!

Still don't get the pirate thing though. They have bad teeth and scurvy and probably smell. Ick. *wrinkles nose*
Fun facts: today is the Day of the Dead both in Mexico and Italy. Do any of you guys come from a culture that celebrates this?
Today I found a postcard in my mailbox from the Sheriff's Department, informing me that a sex offender has moved in to the neighborhood. He moved in with the people right next door to me!!!
I googled the court records and found at age 27 he "sexually battered a person over the age of 12 and used a weapon". He was sentenced to 40 years and now he is out on parole after 20 years in prison.
I am not happy.

@Enjee - If you really want to be shocked look at the State web site for sex offenders (all states have them as the offenders must register) - I looked in our area and there are so many dots on the map that it looks like a Christmas tree.
It's a sad state of affairs when our children aren't safe.
