I just made chicken soup from scratch for dinner, and my roommate made cheesecake for dessertyum!

It's a balmy 70 degrees today in my nation's capital. It's so weird to be wandering around with bare legs and a dress in the middle of January.But I love the warmth, so I'm not complaining. Plus, thunderstorms!
It's supposed to go back to being cold tomorrow, though. Ugh.
It was really warm here, but it was cold and windy the past couple of days. Sand whipping around and getting in mouth, nose, eyes... gross.

80mph winds today. I nearly got blown into traffic (seriously, I had to grab a barrier!) Damn fine start to the morning.
I'm fine, thank you. :) A huge gust caught me and I could hardly stop myself get blown along with it. Clearly I need to eat more cakes to ground myself in high winds!

@ Lannister interesting article - I didn't know high heels stabilised battle posture on horseback - makes sense, though I assumed a lot of the Persians would have ridden bareback.(Mental image of Mircea fighting 3 Ds for a pair of heels...) :D

OMFG!!!!!! You don't have Jaffa Cakes in the US? That is .... disastrous! Zeenat, you must move to the UK IMMEDIATELY!These are Jaffa Cakes:
They have dark chocolate on top, then a sort of jelly-ish orangey bit, then a kind of spongey base. No one can eat only one Jaffa Cake. It's impossible!
@Lannister - There are no Jaffa Cakes in India either. BUT I will be sure to have some when I am in UK next and God I hope its soon :)
Oh noes! I thought Jaffas were an international phenomena. I had to fight with my boss over the last Jaffa earlier (of course I won!) I kinda want to buy lots of boxes and post them to you all, cos they're that awesome! :D
@Lannister - I promise I'll look in all the right places and see if they're available here. We do have a lot of imported food, tho its usually the US brands, but still!
