Agreed, especially if we can choose whether to go out. I think snowscapes are beautiful as they are quite rare here. I'm sure I'd feel like Lannister if we had snow for a couple of months. :P
I like cold, just not when its gloomy and wet outside. Snow is okay, coz when its cold enough, its dry. Rain though- nope. Don't like it. Especially with all the bugs that come with it. Though the weather after its rained is usually pretty good :) On a better note, I am actually high! Uh.. not ON anything, just coz of a lot of things :D
1. I just finished a month long assignment!
2. My uncle is abt to pick up a package that was sent for me from Canada: containing new sandals, boots and a handbag!!!!!
3. nope that's it :D Yay!!!!
I wore new boots today and now I have blisters. I hate new boots. I also hate old boots that fall to pieces within a year, despite me paying nearly £100 for them!!Moan, moan, moan, moan ... :D
Screw that! My uncle just picked up the package! (That sounds like a mafia movie!) and it'll be delivered to my city by tomorrow morning :D Uncles are awesome!!!! Lannister!!!!!!! You need to get boots from a Canadian company! They know how to make them so that they look pretty, are comfy and they last!
This stuff is from Spring. My previous boots from spring were 30 or 40$ in a sale and lasted me 2 years. I still have them. Aldo is also really good though slightly more expensive. Naturalizer has the most expensive but most winter friendly boots :) Everyone should be having a clearance sale soon!
I sound like a have a shoe fetish. Hummm... just a boot one.
Hahahaha!
I have new boots and they are awesome! I got them right in time for the snow. Not sure which company it is though.

I think it's because I do so much walking that my shoes don't last. The soles wear away and eventually split and my feet get wet! And these were decent walking boots too!I think, instead of walking everywhere, I'll just get an elephant to ride around on. Wouldn't the world would be a better place if people had elephants instead of cars?! I loves elephants :)
@Sarah - Boot lovers Unite!!! @Lannister - It makes sense that they wear off if you do LOADS of walking. Did you know? Amazon has a thing where is does global shipping for free for orders over 125$. So.. buy lots of cheap boots there, have them delivered, run them thru and you won't even feel bad :D
If you want an elephant ride you should come to Jaipur :) They're cool! But kinda weird and ungainly and it seems like they're about to topple you off their backs.
I didn't actually know that about the free global shipping. Interesting! I will come to Jaipur and we can go ride elephants together! :D I like the fact that they're kinda weird. I'm kinda weird myself. We'll have a lot in common! :D
Speaking of which ...
Beloved group members, I worry about each and everyone of you every single day, so I think we should all read this book, cos you never know ...
WTF??
I am getting a cooker 2mor :-) hope the snow stays away so I can get it waited 2 months to get the one I wanted lol
@Lannister I do not think the world would be better off if we all rode elephants. I think it would be more interesting, but also significantly more saturated with poop. Like, a very high concentration of poop. I'm not sure I'd look forward to that =pI love boots. It helps that being on a very fashion-forward campus, it is not socially acceptable to go anywhere in sweats or sneakers.
But I like how they look very put together while being comfortable and warm. Then again, I don't really wear snow boots =p (No point, since we don't really get snow. I do have rain boots though.)
@Claire - That is good reasoning about elephant! You can always tell when one has passed by. I also agree with your logic abt boots. Comfy and stylish :) Okay.. I am biased. But... But... they're always so good :) Even my winter boots were pretty :) Yeah I can be that vain at times. lol
@Lannister not quite sure about the elephant transportation ... now if I could teletransport or fly..that would be awesome!I also have a new pair of boots(they are black, nice and flat, so hopefully I'll wear them more than the others I own) and still have the ones from last year, and the other, and...ok I have too many boots and not enoght time to wear them...it's too warm or I have to run because I'm late and then I don't get the chance to wear them!
Holy shit. It's FREEZING outside. As in, 19 degrees with a windchill of 5. It's awful to walk around in!!! My ears went numb, and then when they just warmed up it feels like they're burning.
Loving my Hubby right now...he's happily cooking supper... "giving me a break" ;D
...wonder what he's up to?? LOL

High of 26 degrees today.... (Fahrenheit in case anyone was wondering.)For perspective, that's about -3.33 degrees C for you not US people out there. =p

LMAO!!!
I LOVE IT!!!
Though I'm not sure you can use me to judge your sense of humor...
Claire wrote: "*Glares*"*pats Claire on the head* There, there ... it's not that bad. It also means her homeland is crawling with abnormally big bugs & reptiles -- which get killed off in places with snow. :D So Yay? (currently -17C with a 5-10 cm snowfall warning for overnight)

Zeenat wrote: "If we're taking a trip to India, I need to go shopping. I need to update my indian clothes :P"Come over! come over! The weather is mostly behaving. People here are whining its cold, but its tolerable and seriously, the cold is better than the heat!
@Claire - It's okay.. less than a month before it all starts melting and Rasmusb is in Canada. They do have a well earned rep in regards to the weather :)
Also OMG!!! Jaipur Lit Fest started and one of the authors gifted me a signed copy of his book Lazarus is Dead coz they were not available at the fest bookstore yet. He had one copy and we had chatted for a while. It was SO COOL!!!!
I did not get enough excited 'squeeeee's' on the 'What are you reading thread!" Gimme a reaction ppl!!!!!
I feel like a grandma, my back hurts, my head wants to explode and all because of the wind and rain. I wish I could tell the wind to shut up (it's making really strange noises) and the rain to shooo away!
P.S. Temperatures between 5 and 11ºC since Tuesday and it's cold...I miss those warm 15-20ºC...
Eeeeee! Wow Arushi. Lit festivals are cool. I took my kids -and hubbie to one last year in Oxford and all loved it.Hands box of chocs to Missdevora
Thank you Anna!I feel better (head doesn't hurt anymore).
I also believe that chocolate is the better remedy for everithing :)
@Sarah - Thank you so much!! It was indeed really cool :) @Anna - Yep. I am lucky that there is an annual one in my own city. Makes me happy!! I am glad you got to go to one in Oxford. That would be so awesome :)
@Missdevora - Its good you feel somewhat better :) I hope the cold goes away more. I stupidly walked around with only a sleeveless jacket yesterday and now I can really empathize!
Whew, I've had an insanely busy few days. I'm absolutely shattered and feel like going to bed even though it's not quite 6pm LOL! (Yes, I am that much of a party animal!)Arushi, hope you're enjoying the Lit Festival! :)
Everything's OK, thank you. :) I've just been really busy at work and having to work late to get a project finished. But it's all done now so it's back to just the usual level of madness! I'm so glad it's the weekend though.

I figure if I have to live through a miserable season of frozen digits, sinus infections, and gloom, I should get something out of it. Snow takes a very bare, bleak winter landscape and makes it beautiful.
