I will be on sporadically the next few days :) visiting hoem for thanksgiving and busy with a wedding . . . non stop :) I may check in when I get a chance ;)
Why reading a 50 pages uni realted essay is so boring and hard to read while I can read in that time a 300 pages novella and end with a smile on my face???
ITs like a rule of physics? it just is? I never read my text books cover to cover.. but the moment I did NOT have to read them for a class, they suddenly became so much more interesting, and I read far more than I did when I was actually supposed to.
@Sarah Probably that's why.@Arushi I also tend to avoid diccionaries of any kind, because if I look up a word...I end up reading not just the meaning/definition/traducction of that word but the whole page, then another and another...
and this also happends as you point out with class related books, but not for class at that moment.
I don't function without coffee! There's a bakery here that makes a chili chocolate cake and it is wonderful!!! I make lattes at home and add chocolate syrup and a little cayenne pepper. It's really good
I'm trying my hand at cake pops. A best friend just went through a break up. Needless to say, she's not pleased. However, there are few things that can't be cured with desserts and good movies.
I work in a really small firm.. and today, no one is here, except me. Sigh. They're either out or working from home. I haven't decided if I want to sulk yet. @Gin - The latte and the cake both sound awesome.. but I really want some of that latte...
@Claire - Agreed. Coffee cake might help too. Two awesome things together.. chocolate and coffee :)
Claire wrote: "She also likes coffee. So it's caffeine and sugar all the way tomorrow."If it works, it works, right :)
I made pancakes for breakfast (OK, lunch really, by the time I got up!)I burnt every one of them. :(
I don't know how many times I've told myself this, but I need to stay away from the computer when I'm cooking, or bad things happen. (This is why I like my slow cooker. I forgot to turn it off once and 'over-cooked' by about 6 hours and I think the dish may even have tasted slightly better than usual at the end of it. This is my kind of cooking!)
That sucks Lannister! I've flooded my kitchen playing on the computer before. Can I say how badly I don't want to go to work tomorrow again. I need a profession that actually has holidays and weekends off. Or better yet...how about no work at all!
Can't say I've ever burnt things because of computer time. Then again, I set timers and work at the kitchen table so I'm always in sight of my food =p
LOL, even being in sight of the cooker doesn't seem to help me! I get so engrossed in what I'm reading I just forget everything else exists until the smoke alarm goes off.Which reminds me, what's the craziest thing you ever found down the back of your couch? Cos a couple of months back I found my smoke alarm which had gone missing.
Don't ask, it's a long story, and I wasn't even drunk.
50 billion e-mails and facebook notifications, no sleep, swollen feet, and still had a blast. . .it's going to to take forever to go through these posts on goodreads ;)
craziest thing? sex toys . . . don't know when it got there . . . maybe we were drunk cause the husband didn't know either ROFL.
LMAO Zeenat! I hope it was you or hubby who found it, and not a visiting child!! :OPS Glad you had a good weekend. Will send Mircea round to massage swollen feet!
Sounds like you had a really good time Zeenat.. and now need some pampering. *hands over a wrapped up Curran* Just be careful while unwrapping that :)
I'm not sure what I would get with Currans. Paws or Claws? Did I do anything to piss him off lately . . . . ::sits there and ponders before opening::
awww c'mon... hands over Kate's sword. that might make things easier :P
Hands over Kate. That will make them even easier. lol
Good mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorning, KC group!
That's all I wanted to say.

Good morning to you too Sarah (and everyone else!)I'm dying of the cold. Actually, I don't think it's a mere cold. This is Black Death Plague Flu! I wish I was at home in bed. :(
Awww, poor Lannister.
Here's some tea for you.
*hands over tea*
And a Marlowe to keep you warm.
*hands over bound and gagged Marlowe*

Thank you for tea! *takes a long drink*And an even bigger thank you for Marlowe! *getting better every minute!*
I'm not much of a morning person either, even at the best of times. I'm with you Mello, I'll gladly get up if someone's making a nice breakfast for me. :)
I always wonder what time you guys get up, since we all seem to comment on the threads at the same time despite living in vastly different time zones.
I go to bed around 9-10pm EST - I get up around 2am EST. It sucks getting old....
