Anyone hear about Fabrice Muamba? Suffered a heart attack during the Bolton Tottenham quarter final of the F.A cup. Was watching the game live and it was an absolute shock to everyone. The Tottenham supporters were surprisingly supportive that the game was called off after he was injured considering he was a Bolton player. He is now in a critical condition in a specialist heart attack hospital.

Didn't know it had made the news. Yeh I remember the Cameroon player, Fabrice was lucky to survive. The resuscitated him a few times...
Very, very happy :) Had the game gone for 60 seconds longer we would have lost it. Winning feels weird!

You probably should try to get used to it;D

GO YOU POWWWWWWWWWWEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR. :D 32 points down ten minutes into the final quarter, win by 4 points? Amazing. I'm a very happy camper.

Whoop! Not only did we beat Carlton; but we did it by NINE GOALS.
I didnt actually see any of the game though, since I was at a concert-but I was mind-blown when I heard about the win afterwards :D
Last night's Carlton/Port game made me very sad! Not sure what's happening to the Blues this season - they started off well but the last few weeks have been disgraceful!! :P

Hawthorn next up. I hope we can at least control Buddy.
See, I had a weird gut feeling that Port would win. I seriously thought we'd get over the line by the last kick of the game. I dont have the same feeling for the Hawks-but a little confidence can go along way :)
Michael (& Brenda), if Port loose by anything less that 100 points tomorrow, I'll be very impressed. We would get smashed by Geelong even if we were playing at home with a full squad. But we're playing away with all out semi decent players out.
And why hasn't anyone mentioned Euro 12? Has nobody been watching any games? I'm pretty sure I've got an enormous crush on that Italian striker, Mario Balotelli. I hope they win on Monday, so he gets to take his shirt off again :P
They're all live, so its at like 4AM. I think Im going to get up to watch the final because A) It'll be awesome
B) Thats what all the cool kids do
C) I havent seen a game of soccer live since Australia vs Serbia in 2010
D) Theres a chance of seeing Mario Balotelli shirtless

You're not wrong about the Cats being a different team this year! We were actually just saying that this arvo!
Hopefully they'll build up a great team again in a couple of years, when the young ones get some experience.
Only 38 points. I thought it would legit be 100+. All things considered, Im not too upset with that: We had no Hartlett, Gray, Boak, Shulz, Trengrove and a whole bunch of other missing players. The young boys did so well, like Lobbe and Jonas.
I think Geelong have won their last premiership for a while-they're still a very good side-but not where near as great as they have been in the past. In the 4-7 years, I truly think Port Adelaide will be a better team than Geelong (Sorry, Brenda :D).
Granted, for that to happen Hartlett and Gray have to go at least one season without doing some serious injury, which is yet to happen.

Have to put in a plug for a niche sport - my daughter is competing on the Australian Womens team for Ultimate frisbee. They are opening with a game against Japan, in Sakai, Japan on Saturday at 5.30 our time. They are called the Firetails. Australia also has a men's team (Dingoes) and a mixed team (Barramundis) competing. Aussie Aussie Aussie! It is being live streamed, but you have to pay (lucky its only $5!)

Nice to meet another Sydney Swans supporter here. Go Sydney!
Well done Michael!!! Good news... BUT did you see Geelongs score last night? OMG 11 goal win!! :)
Yeah, our son's team from Adelaide, and our team....always fun rivalry!! Ha! It was an amazing game...
I love the Olympics :) my youngest daughter Nalani 2 1/2 informed me she wants to do gymnastics when she gets big like them haha my eldest said nah I don't it's a bit terrifying haha she wants to do swimming apparently lol :)
Totally unexpected. Was going for the Cats purely because they can beat the Crows next week. Freo will take it up to them as well. Crows aren't as good as everyone says; was awesome to see Sydney beat them earlier today :) None of this matters though, because Ive been saying all year that Hawthorn will win the premiership.
Also, Travis Boak signed on with Port :') <3
I agree with you both...we didn't see the Cats getting beaten either! They played terribly! First quarter, and they only had one point??!! O_O!!! Don't think I'd go as far as saying an end of an era Michael...
Needless to say this Sydney supporter was pretty pleased to see us beat Adelaide.Sad for Ben McGlynn though as he's played 22 out of 23 games.
Terribly sad about the Ports player killed in Las Vegas yesterday...John McCarthy..a tragic loss:(
I heard about that at school and I almost cried. Its actually so tragic, he was 22 years old-which is bad enough for anyone, not to mention he was a very talented footballer started anew at a new club. I remember the day Port picked him up, and I was so excited about what he would do for the club. He had such a promising career, and his whole life, ahead of him. Such a tragic, unfortunate loss. Prayers and thoughts with his family, friends and team mates x
There is one very sad Rabbitohs supporter in my house right now, but as he tells me every year "They'll be back next year"
