Got your wish Brenda :/ Ah well, Hawthorn will smash you next week.Based on the scoreboard you really should have absolutely destroyed us, some terrible skill efforts from your blokes, but that pressure jeez. Also at the risk of sounding cliche - bloody umpires. A few completely idiotic calls, how did these people get to do finals? Also glad to see wassisname getting reported for bumping Gray.
Hope Ken works on the boys' third quarters before next season. 23-point lead evaporating in 5 minutes was pretty facking pathetic to see.

When Hamish kicked that one and there were 2 and a half minutes for two goals my heart was in my throat.
So proud of the team. At the start of the year I would have been pleased with anything above 12th on the ladder. We're the third youngest team in the competition and we took it right up to Geelong in a semi final. Couldn't be prouder. We're definitely on the up and in a few years should be top 4. Bring on 2014 at Adelaide oval. Our future is so, so bright.
I really hate to say it but the umpires need to be questioned. In no other sport will you see such consistently terrible umpiring on a professional level. Got to question those 50/50 calls that all went Geelong's way, especially after Demetriou complained about all the money AFL would loose after Collingwood/Richmond got knocked out. Port/Hawks prelim would have got 45,000. Where as Hawks/Geelong will sell out. Im so sick of umpires always favouring Victorian teams.
Anyway, rant over. Geelong were too good in the end. I'd like to see them win it, but I reckon it'll be Hawks/Freo Grand Final with the Hawks victorious.

Yeah there were some REALLY questionable decisions during the game. When the commentators are saying "Wait, what? That's stupid", you know there's something wrong.I'll be interested to see if wassisname who bumped Gray gets the 2 weeks he should, considering his report is exactly like Hamish's last month. That's silly, though, because Victorian.
Anyway I hope Freo win the flag. If it's not us, I hope it's another underdog :P

I'm surprised you're a Geelong supporter Brenda, How did that come about? I must admit, even though Port beat us last week, I was kind of hoping they'd win last night. Sorry Brenda.

I'm working all day on Grand final so I won't get to watch it which is a shame as regardless of whether or not our team is in it, it's a bit of a tradition to have a barbie and watch the GF. It's a good thing I luuuv my job!!!

I hope it's Hawthorn v Fremantle, cos then I win either way. Either Hawthorn win, and they really deserve it, or Fremantle win, and they deserve it too. Geelong and the Swans haven't played like they deserve it the last month or so.Gotta love an underdog, too.

Would have liked to see Varcoe score that goal to bring it to extra time. When the siren went I felt a tad bad for the cats. Then I remembered what they did to us in 2007, and suddenly I didn't care :)
From a neutral point of view it was a good game to watch, between two good teams. Just been talking to someone who has a friend who walked out when Hawks were 20 points behind and missed the end and didn't believe his friend when he said they'd won.
Exactly what I thought. Told him his mate was a fairweather supporter.
