They are still the team to beat Dale...they are the Premiers afterall. And I usually support them when they play any team other than Collingwood...of course!!!
Sorry, you're all misspelling "wussball".Just waiting for the Match Review Panel to come out and suspend Hartlett and Gray for 4 weeks a piece. Gotta keep that Carlton fire burning, right?
Coming from the sport which can and regularly does go from end to end with no scores?Humans evolved this wonderful thing a few years after soccer was invented, they're called "opposable thumbs" - the trouble being that those who play soccer haven't yet evolved to that level.
Facking called it. Hamish Hartlett offered 2 week suspension for his bump.Match Review Panel can go screw itself, I've never seen anything more transparently biased or useless in my life. The exact same thing happened earlier this year between North Melbourne and Collingwood and the MRP deemed it fine, but Carlton are close to edging Port out of the finals and god knows, if a Victorian team has a shot at it they had better hamstring the South Australian team.
Ugh. That was a fair bump. Hartlett did nothing wrong, its just Tape was unprepared for it. As much as this sucks, on the bright side he will be nice and fresh for finals (should we make it) without any concerns over that shoulder. The MRP is a disgrace.
★ Jess wrote: "on the bright side he will be nice and fresh for finals (should we make it) without any concerns over that shoulder."That's true, when it went out I was terrified. Hamish is a tough nut though.
I can't help but wonder if he would have copped the suspension if he'd been concussed too.

Meanwhile Dean Cox got let off the hook for punching someone in the stomach because of his good record. Meanwhile Hamish's good record means he faces 2 weeks instead of 3 if he pleads guilty.
Awesome win by the Cats (sorry Dale!), I thought the game would be much closer than that! Great result:D
Bittersweet to say the least. Need to play better than that in finals, though its unbelievable that we will be playing in September. We've come so far this year.
Brenda wrote: "Awesome win by the Cats (sorry Dale!), I thought the game would be much closer than that! Great result:D"Geelong sure deserved the win. Knew you would be happy, Brenda. Some very one sided wins this weekend.
Work friend won $1500 from tipping Kurt to get the first goal and something else to do with Sydney/Geelong. I was spewing.
That's really sad. They still haven't resolved issues but they kick them out, taking away points. I feel sorry for the players...not condoning what they say has happened, but after all these months it should already be finalised.
I think the club should be punished, not the fans. Whichever team takes their spot would be so undeserving.
Neither would I. On a related matter, I hope Port do well in the finals. If we go out first game, I hope its by a respectable margin.

That second showdown against the crows was hands down our best win
Michael wrote: "Ok to recap Essendon will not play finals and will finish in 9th position. Be fined 2 million dollar and will lose its first two picks in the first and second rounds of the this year and next years..."Pretty fair, really.
I believe this means Port finish 7th - and I think that means a home game? Might be wrong though.
Buggeration. i thought it was 7th vs 8th :CAlthough, two Port v. Carlton games would be a bit boring. What would have happened if we'd gotten to 6th? Would the final be at AAMI?
I wish I was going on Saturday. I mean I could have, there's nothing stopping me going, I just couldn't be bothered.Top shelf 10/10 power supporter right here :P
I've been to footy games before, I just don't really enjoy the experience of being there that much. Not sure why.

I'll be in the Northern grandstand. looking forward to it. :D"
How was it Michael? It was certainly riveting on the screen!

Shocking. Port did exactly what they've punished other teams for doing all year, they gave up and took it easy until the last five minutes. Giving up a 39 point lead? Pathetic way to end our reign at AAMI.Some absolutely awful play from both teams, and some idiotic and completely nonsensical umpiring. The Monfries free in the second quarter? What even was that? And I don't care where you were looking, the ball was deliberately carried across the line at the end.
Now I'm good and depressed for work tomorrow. I've got a couple of co-worker Crows fans who are rather fond of the Chokers label.
I sort of wish Carlton had won by a bit more, the previous three games this round have won with 112 points. Would have been nice. Also I'm on the up now, Crows are definitely out of the finals.
After Schulzy's last goal I was just waiting for the miracle and it didn't come... I guess there's a limit to how many you're allowed to have in a season.
Was at the game. Over 45000 people there, the atmosphere was incredible. I had a really good time regardless of the result. The umpires, whilst not to blame, gave Carlton so many goals (Betts dropping the ball out of bounds, then picking it up and scoring?). As much as I would have loved Broadbent's kick to have gone through in the last 20 seconds, that would have given Crows 8th place. So theres a silver lining for you.
I can't imagine how bad Matty is feeling. It was a fantastic kick on the fly under incredible pressure, but you just know he's gonna be running it through his head if it had been just a couple of inches to the right.Oh well. Hope Port go over to the MCG next week and bloody some Magpie beak.
Hopefully not to insult our resident Swans fan/s (do they have more than one? :P), but I hope Hawthorn get the flag this year. They've been an outstanding team, they really deserve it.Also 105-51, yowch.
CARN THE POWER THIS EVENING!

Brenda will be mega disapp..."Bout time someone broke the cattery open. I'm amazed they're allowed to have an oval which is metres narrower than everyone else's. Surely there has to be some sort of regulation.
I wouldn't mind Freo winning either, it would be their first flag I believe.

Disappointed yes...I had a better afternoon, but when I got home both husband and son were quite upset with them...it was almost the end of the 3rd quarter, and it didn't get better! At least they have a second chance next weekend!

Collingwood played the far better football on the night and deserved their win. Always was going to be a danger game. But Sydney will bounce back. Have to say after last week,I thought Western Bulldogs would beat Carlton.
