I would appreciate a bit of clarification about how the group works ... do you read particular books at a set time? If so, I'll try to keep up. I love to read, read a lot, but also have a local book club to read for, plus I'm a full time college student, so have assignments to read for. I just read a couple of classics: The Wizard of Oz, and Catcher in the Rye. As for suggested reading, I have several classics on my "to-read" list ... Pride & Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, Tale of Two Cities, Don Quixote, Jane Eyre ... and more.

We usually have a book that is a monthly/bimonthly group read, sometimes we have a buddy read(like War and Peace) which is separate from the group read. We are VERY flexible, if we want to take longer on a book we can or if we want to change in mid-stream, we can. No worries about that! As far as choosing a book, we try to post what we want and either decide that way, or we can start taking polls to decide. I hope that helps.

Awaiting much to here more from this group.
Promise to be active in almost all the activities (Polls, GD's).
Welcome to the group! Ioana, you have an unusual name. Does it have a particular meaning? How do you pronounce it?
Thanks for the warm welcome :-DAbout my name; it is pronounced e-wa-nah and means "God has favoured me" or "the blessing of God".
Ok , hello and welcome to MGW28254, Nichole, Martha and Betta! I went out of town for the weekend so sorry this is late! I hope that you enjoy the group!
Ha, don't think of it as pressure! Think of it as gentle shoves from lots of people, with lots of guilt!
LOL, sounds like great encouragement!I'm really glad people communicate in this group. I've tried other groups with little feedback, and I've attended local book clubs that felt... limited by chick lit (forgive me for my wording, I don't mean to offend). I love that I'll have somewhere to post comments about a classic and get involved with others. Thanks for your moderating/participating!
Welcome, Laura. I think you'll love this group. I have enjoyed reading the classics, and discussing them. I look forward to getting to know you!
