Glad you enjoyed it...it was dreadful when he was killed, and it doesn't seem like over 16 years ago!

I hauled in

Two surfboards
Two free movie vouches
80 bucks
Lollies
A rashy
A book
A day at the surf a leg rope
And that's it I did pretty well

I actually haven't seen it yet, though everyone else in my family has, and loved it.
I have, however, almost killed myself with the amount of Seinfeld I've seen in the last few days. Such an amazing show. Jerry Stiller (as Frank Costanza) is the height of comic genius!

Geoff Woodland | 313 comments I was on Barnes & Noble’s site this afternoon to check on a friend's book page as she has had problems getting all of her reviews correctly posted.
Because I was there I thought I’d check on my own book Ice King and found that someone (no idea of their true ID) had posted a very complimentary review with five stars.
Quite made my day, but unfortunately I am unable to thank the reader.
Our NYE party starts in just over an hour Sydney time, so Happy New Year to all. Ice King by Geoff Woodland

Oh Melanie...you make me feel tired & seedy just reading that!! LOL Great you had a good night!

message 4668: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments I had a nice NYE; We had three families come over, and in total there were five kids, all around my age, so that was good :)
They all stayed until about 3AM, and we were in the pool almost the whole night. Towards the end, all the adults got drunk, which was hilarious. And they were all reminiscing about NYE from when they were young, and much respect for dad has been lost :P

Jessy (snuggleglooms) | 381 comments I have a question for the Reading Challange people it is this, I have just read the most recent book in a series that I first read last year Hidden Away (KGI, #3) by Maya Banks the KGI series by Maya Banks, anyway, it has been awhile since I read the first book and I am thinking of rereading the books again do you think, if you have already read something and you go back to reread it does it count towards your reading challange or not?

Is anyone else sick & tired of all the political ranting & raving on who will replace Obama, it's bad enough bombarding us with our own 'ranga' & co. without having to sit through American political hype & nonesense, I for one don't care, I'm still to come accross an honest down to earth politician, all they do is line their wallets & 'feather' their own nest.

message 4693: by Amber (new)

Amber (elfkingdom) | 366 comments I had an eye test, and found out I need glasses. That's no drama, but the scans or pictures taken of my eyes were shown to me by the optometrist. Apparently, our eyes can get sunburnt just like skin, and we can get melanomas on our eyeballs. At the back of my left eyeball I have a mole!!! Gross, but apparently nothing to worry about. I'll need 6 monthly tests though, as if more moles show up - yes, on the eyeball - that could mean trouble.

I thought that was kind of gross lol

Wow, didn't know that Amber! That's why we are all told to wear sunglasses I suppose. Good luck with the new glasses! I've been wearing them, just for reading/computer work, for ages now!

message 4695: by Amber (new)

Amber (elfkingdom) | 366 comments Thanks Brenda - the glasses are actually pretty comfortable, and I can now see WORDS when I look at a page in a book! It's a miracle :-)

And because of what my optometrist told me, I've been vigilant about wearing my sunnies lol
