That's a shame Gail, I reckon it'd be great to be a librarian:)

I was always put off by ppl who worked in a lib..they always looked depressed but then i learnt through a friend (who is one) that they can be quite a bitchy group of ppl to know and wouldn't recommend being one either..lol

I've been a librarian at school agggeeesss ago now..I found it fun. And the head librarian was thrilled with everyone who did the job that she took us to maccas for dinner as a thanks...Okay, okay...We were only in primary school..lol but still...I remember it fondly :P

★ Jess | 3071 comments Welcome back Carmel!

Im feeling pretty sad at the moment: At the exact time last year, I was on a plane bound for Kuala Lumpar, which would connect me to London. Now I am about to set the table for dinner. Sadness :(

On a happier note, one of my friends came over today, George. We decided to play tennis, a three set match. He is a really sporty guy-yet I beat him. I won 2-6, 6-5, 6-6 (7-5 tie break). So that was pretty exciting :)

Hi Jess, funny coincidence - I had 3 sessions at Downing St Courts in Sydney for work - just to improve our understanding of court procedures. So we were in the civil court and then the criminal court. It was very interesting, but also incredibly intimidating imagining being the people involved!

I did my work experience at a vet and also at the CSIRO Division of animal production - ended up doing arts law when i didn't geet the marks for vet and finally I'm now an editor (in a library!)

message 3934: by Jessy (new)

Jessy (snuggleglooms) | 381 comments So I am just about packed and ready to travel on down to my hubbys athletics championship in Townsville. I have my books packed and I can't believe I am doing this but I have been given a copy of Twilight. I tend to fight against massive hits of books or films until the dust has settled then I watch them or read them. For instance every one was mad about Harry Potter and are still and I didn't watch that until a month or so ago and enjoyed it I sadly must admit lol

But with Twilight I faught real hard not to read it or watch it cause of the teeny bopper factor lol Anyhow, my friend being a Twihard is that the right term has forced me to read it so....wish me luck I am going to need to summon my patience to read this one!!

Milk and milo are the greatest consumable things ever. Im going to make myself a cold glass right now, actually. Full cream milk is the greatest. Everyone things Im weird for not drinking low-fat milk, but Im not gonna lie, it tastes like water. Its gross.

Emplying super speed reading tactics helps - it's pretty hard to accidentally miss anything important - everything is carefully spelt out and then repeated multiple times. I think by the last book I ended up skipping whole chapters :D

I don't think you're weird - full cream milk is awesome in milo and most other things. Tea on the other hand cannot be made with anything other than trim. Sadly that means I just live on trim. The perfect cup of tea wins out.

Nah - it had fun parts, only the quality of the writing and the excessive amounts of teenage gush get a little tiring, so you just skip them out :D

So true, Brenda! I'm so proud of all my nieces and my only nephew - they range in age from 31 to 10 (and I love that my eldest niece is older than me - I can call her an old git safe in the fact that I'm not yet 30 lol)
