Cheryl, have you ever read Georgette Heyer? Most libraries have some of her titles. And for adventure the Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian. Humour - Gerald Durrell. Adventure-romance, Mary Stewart.
But I'm an old thing and not up with the latest reads. Maybe you could write down some of the titles on the shelves at the library then check out what the Goodreads readers say about them? Or what the Amazon reviews are like.
Good luck and happy reading.
Monya (aka Mary)

Monya, because of the limited availability at my library I generally try to make a list of books I want based on recs and then check their online catalogue to see if they carry them (or if they are in) before I go. Just makes it easier on me. They may have a limited selection but the library is new and has up to date technology which I am delighted with. If the books I want are checked out when I want them I can place an online reservation for them and be notified by email when they come in. Works great for me if I can just make myself practice a little patience. :)
thats what I do! I love online browsing :D
Just in case anyone 'might' be interested, I have posted more poetry (all the different styles I write) & some of my winning short stories on my new blog. http://readeasypoetry.wordpress.com

WB Carmel..Now you can enjoy the weekend it's finally here :D

Oh, and went into the city today after school with some friends. Lots of fun...but got told off for loitering by the police :0 XD

Also, I'd like to say we werent loitering. We were lining up for boost juice. But the silly police got it wrong. Then they stated watching us for ages. They weren't even nice about it. Pretty sure they enjoyed telling us off. It was pretty funny though :P

September the iPhone 5 should be released, which is rumored to have an 8mega pixel HD camera, so might want to wait for that ;)
