AFL is definitely the way to go...we have an over abundance of Rugby here, cos of where we live! Try not to watch it!!

Yeah, love soccer Michael! On a par with AFL IMO!! :)

message 2563: by ★ Jess (last edited May 25, 2011 03:48AM) (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Cricket is the most boring thing. Full stop.
Sorry, and I dont mean any offense, but I cant stand it.
I love watching AFL, soccer & tennis.

AFL is so exciting to watch :)
Especially when Travis Cloke is on screen

Soccer is great to watch, but its never on TV! And the A-leauge isnt too exciting. I'd love some EPL games on a regular hour. Only time I get to watch soccer is at 3AM for the World Cup...

message 2564: by Neko (new)

Neko I only enjoy watching Cricket with other people but I'd never choose to watch it by myself either..Would die from being bored.

message 2578: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments A fair number of awesome things happened this week:
-Changed french classes. I no longer have that evil teacher I may have ranted about, and am with friends, a more relaxed class room atmosphere (no longer advanced) & am now looking forward to french lessons!
-Soccer game for the weekend is a 'bye', so I may sleep in
-I got 5/6 and 4/6 on a maths test
-Went on a drama excursion today! Left school at 11:00 for the Festival Theatre to see 'Zoo Story' which started at 1:30. It was an amazing performance-anyone seen it? Before it started we were free to roam the train station & buy lunch. We got back with half an hour left of school & were allowed to just sit and talk on the oval. It was *such* a fun day! :)

Sounds like a wonderful day all round Jessica! So glad you've changed french class/teacher! The fact that you will now enjoy your class, makes the world of difference! Congrats on the maths result! :) And the drama excursion sounds lots of fun! :)

Amber (elfkingdom) | 366 comments My sister's budgie is a vampire. As soon as he starts wandering around people he goes straight for the throat...and the little pest has drawn blood more than once!! :(

Hahahaha!!! Amber, that's classic!! :D

message 2583: by Neko (new)

Neko :o Wow! Vampie budgie!!

I had budgies once....Huey and Dewey! lol Our next door neighbour had a cat called Ninja! One day Ninja attacked our budgies and opened the cage (they were high up outside as well..He was called Ninja for a reason)....One of the budgies flew the coop!! My parents were stuck because they pets for my sister and I. Anyways, a budgie a few days later came back and was exactly the same as the one that'd escaped except fatter!! LOL Parents were saved and said "Look, it's returned!" :)

Amber (elfkingdom) | 366 comments lol that was a bit of luck Laura! Gave me a few giggles :)

Well, for the 1st time in many years I tried watching the aussie rules game, on TV, being played on the gold coast, I've turned it off in discust & am going to bed, I don't get a kick from watching 2 minutes of a game to have it continuously interupted by 10 minutes of bloody adds, won't be watching another ariel ping pong game, I'll stick to my NRL, believe me, heaps less advertising.
And before anyone has a go, I played the girlie game for about 4 years & represented Queensland in the 1st school boys championships when 'VFL' was in it's infancy in Qld, I thought it was a weak game then & still do. (-:

message 2586: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments *Gold Coast Suns vs Geelong.
Gold Coast loose by at least ten goals every week. They concede goals faster than any other team. Faster the goals=more ad breaks.
Watching a decent game is MUCH more exciting. More time and intensity between goals.
But have it your way :)

Speaking of AFL, Just finished watching Port vs Richmond. YES! Finally another win :)

lol I know what you mean Jessica. My partner is a huge Power fan, and you should have seen his delight when Port beat the Tigers - and to add to his joy, his 2 SANFL teams won, too :)

I started to watch last years grand final & again changed channel, found it to boring kicking from one end of the field to the other, sorry but I like a game with a bit more oomph!!

Did your parents leave any cash? Maybe hire someone to come clean for you! lol

Ah it's not that hard..Plus on the upside you won't have your folks nagging you to clean anything..So you don't have to keep it spick and span all the time :D
