LOL:D
No drop bears down here on the coast which is why I moved here. They were prevalent in Dandenong Ranges where I lived as a child.

Wow! We never got any storm down on the South Coast.

It hit us again in the middle of the night. I was up with our dog from 2.30 - 4am :/ Thunder, lightning, heavy rain..the works!

Funny visual, Julie:)

My only concern is tomorrow out for end of year excursion n it's meant to be yucky (not stormy tho).
That's when it'll happen Laura! Law of averages!!
We have another thunderstorm bearing down on us now - have received the alerts. It's so humid - 83% this morning:(

True that...But I can hope not! haha Might make it a total wash out event then.
Oohh...Alerts, that must mean it's going to be a nasty storm?

Not as bad as the two last night, but still rattling around!

It's very dry here at the moment.
Great lightning pic!

Yup. Port have jumped on it, I think - the Portress in evidence :P

Oh wow Leonie! That's taken a long time:) You'll definitely be happy to have your room back!

It has been an epic event. Three goes at getting the skirting boards right, the wrong vanity installed, and installed poorly - had a mediation today which recognised that. It's almost impossible to believe that we ended up in mediation over a vanity!
We're still awaiting the sanding of the floors, but we have to move out of the house entirely for that, and it can't be done until January.
The carpet and painting went well though...
Sounds like a real hassle for you! That's terrible that it can't be done properly in the first place! Something to put behind you once it's all completed:)

Finally got away from Sydney after sitting out more storms on the runway and getting permission to leave after curfew.
We're now on the big island of Hawaii for a few days and then go back to Honolulu for DH's conference. The weather is beautiful and where we're staying is gorgeous, our room looks out at the ocean through the palm trees. Driving from the airport I was amazed at just how black everything was, just miles and miles of black rock with no vegetation except for a few tufts of brown grass.

Aloha from Home!!!
Glad you made it safely after all of those hold ups, no rain for ages then you leave town and it's full on electrical storms! All quiet now, though a bit overcast atm.
Well at least your weather is good, you can kick back with a cocktail and soak up the sun eh? ;)
Enjoy yourself

Thanks Leonie :)

What a hassle you have had. Glad it's nearly all finished. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Glad you finally got away Carolyn and enjoying Hawaii.
All this talk of storms etc in Sydney and other places had me bemused. we have had blue skies for days. But then we live in paradise here on the south coast. Enjoy your hula-ing time away, Carolyn.

It is Thursday and I feel that I can relate to this baby Panda today http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto...

Too cute Melissa. Going to be a hot one today here.

Can understand that too, Bette. Family is important. We have just had part of ours move closer, now on the south coast which is lovely. The rest is on the south side of Sydney which is not too bad.
Given myself a festive makeover :)

Thanks again for all your help & advice in getting me started.

I wish my grand-daughter was in the same country as me. She's three and a half now. I haven't seen her since she was one.
Oh that's a real shame Tui:( We don't see our "away" ones very often either - and they live in the same country! It's the way it is with a lot of families isn't it...
