I just specifically bought a new laptop with Windows 7 - I had 8 and it was terrible and had problems with a few programs/drivers etc that weren't compatible with 8 (and I assume 10) and my version of MYOB wont work with 8 - so 7 it is.

Hopefully things will get better with it, so that data won't be lost...

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) You were lucky, Carol. When I went laptop shopping, I was told at Dick Smith that you couldn't buy a computer with W7 on it anymore. Drat...

Who's getting geared up to put their names down for the read-a-thon when it's released in a couple of days? Yes - hard to believe, but it's almost 3 months since we had the last one!!

Thunderstorms! Rain....cooler temps:D It's all hitting now!

message 23768: by Neko (new)

Neko We had really bad rains yesterday and this morning...I was driving to work when it really hit..So thick that the car infront of my just STOPPED!!! I was lucky that I was far enough behind them that it didn't cause an issue but wow...Stopping on a busy street during peak morning traffic..NOT ON!!

message 23769: by Neko (new)

Neko The day panned out amazingly..Like you seriously couldn't tell that it was horrible this morning or yesterday...It actually got a bit hot this afternoon..lol

Yep! I can understand that too...And yea, pulling over would of been good but they couldn't where they were..Top of a hill w/a curb :s

message 23770: by Leonie (new)

Leonie (leonierogers) | 3569 comments We've had passing thunderstorms this afternoon. There's a lot of thunder around now, but the rain is a bit intermittent.

Big dog is terrified and being pathetic. Big cat is hiding in son's room. Small dog is pretending to be frightened for sympathy purposes, and small cat is nowhere to be seen because of dogs inside...

LOL! It's teeming here! And thunder rumbling all around. Chloe is inside - scared but "safe" with her humans!

message 23772: by Neko (new)

Neko Clear as anything here...Little clouds....Tempted to go read outside in the dark with my kindle and the airchair..lol

message 23773: by Leonie (new)

Leonie (leonierogers) | 3569 comments Ah yes, safe! i.e. Close by, preferably on a lap. Our GSD thinks that would be a good idea. 40kg suggests it wouldn't be!

message 23774: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Do it Laura! That sounds great:)

message 23777: by Neko (new)

Neko I tried....It turned colder than I wanted....Now inside with some shows to catch up on and some nicely earned beers..Haha.

@Michael...Nooo......Juice from interstate would make me worry too!! Why will you guys have no powerstations? That just seems dumb?

Ohhhh...so tempted to go to this one pub i like..they mixed lollies and cider together.....could be so bad or a mega sugar rush..hmm...

Twitter doesn't do likes - I think it is favourites.

I'm on twitter - but only go on once or twice a week - and see that there have been a couple of thousand tweets and just read the last 30 or so and close it down!!!

I'm pretty sure that's not how it is supposed to be done - LOL!!!

I just received an email from the admin who said my review for Dangerous Lies has "reached 1091 people"!!!!! Going nuts is what she said!

Oh thanks Sally - you can tell I'm not a "tweeter";)
