message 23652: by Neko (last edited Nov 06, 2015 12:45AM) (new)

Neko @Suzanne - Yes, I hope it actually happens! I mean we are in the stages but she seems very keen.

@Rita - We talked about S.Korea and Japan. She has already been to Japan years ago (HS thing)...I always wanted to go but never have...She has a friend in S.Korea too. She talked about other areas of Asia..I'd be all game...But those two places I'd like to see the most and she seems most keen on. She did go to China years ago but not so interested in there again.

Where would you guys go once the littles grow up?

message 23653: by Neko (new)

Neko Japan has always been an interest of mine going on years now....I know basics...lol I took night courses so I could speak Japanese but I am all thumbles when it comes to it. However, my sister isn't, she is great!

Ohhhh Disneyland...I never thought of that until now. That would be GREAT place to take kids!!

Apparently S.Korea is cheap to eat for meals...So I think if we spent on accom more it would even itself out.

I'd like to go to China but like for the historical point and also just to see it like outta China...not so much the tourist stuff...I dunno...Still not as important but appealing too.

What did you like about China the most?

Right down the bottom of the home page Kathryn is a blue "follow the reviewers" box to click on. Let me know if that's what you want...if not I'll check with the co-ordinator and see if she can make a subscribe button:)

I did try that, and then thought that mustn't have been what it meant as it wanted me to open a Wordpress account... I'll try it again - maybe I should have continued on...

Kathryn | 3569 comments Brenda wrote: "Let me know Kathryn:) I'll check it out too..."

I think I did it, but I had to use my work address because I'd created an account with that to investigate a website. When I tried to do it with my personal email address, it wanted me to create a domain name or something... I'd rather have it coming to my personal email address, but don't want to create a Wordpress website just for that!

I think it would be more user friendly if it had an email subscription box like a lot of other blogs have, where people just type in their email address and click subscribe. Just a thought...

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) Two loads of white washing came in off the line, late yesterday afternoon covered in little black dots. I'm supposed to chuck them in the dryer to kill them, aren't I?

My b-i-l picked up and installed my new tv for me. Yippee, everyone is back to normal color now.

That hasn't happened where I live for years but yes the heat of the drier kills them. When my children were babies we even ironed their nappies to make sure. That makes me sound REALLY old. No one even knows what a cloth nappy is any more.

message 23692: by Sally906 (new)

Sally906 | 89 comments its hot, hot, hot up here in Darwin. Well the "feel like" is when you take the 34/35 degrees and then add the 80-90% humidity - it feels like 40+

You walk out of the air-conditioned house/workplace/shops and it is like walking into a hot wall of air - it is horrible!!

But what are the little black dots??"

They are called thrips I think. And they are affected by the weather. They like white things - flowers, washing etc
