I forgot it too!!! We don't have rain and it's meant to be hot tomorrow...shame I'll be babysitting!
Bet you get our rain at some point. It always moves up the coast. We have thunder too but it is not close.
It's due to hit in the early hours of the morning apparently...whether it will or not is another thing:)
It is perfectly acceptable to kick off November with Christmas movies, right? :P
I feel it is time to pull out the Polar Express

@ Brenda Don't know if you've seen this http://www.popsugar.com/love/Reading-...
But i thought with all the challenges you put together it might be helpful. NOT that i don't think you aren't already doing the most amazing job!

I haven't tried orange chocolate tea - but I have falling in love with McD's coffee with a shot of caramel - it's been my guilty pleasure of late.
Bloody hell, last time I checked Aussie Readers this was on page 525 >.>Haven't been around much obviously, been working a fair bit and been cheating on AR with another Goodreads group which has been monopolising my time and reading D:

Next for me will be National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation I reckon
I have too many books to read - I've been working on getting through some books off my to-read list, and even though I've read 50 books this year, my to-read list has grown by 80 titles :( Out of the 250+ books on my to-read list, I have at least 80 of them ready to read. I've banned myself from buying more till I've read more - and have started to hit the library hard, so no-win.

It's not like I've been lurking around waiting for it or anything... (:o Lol."
I'm voting at the moment - adding books to almost every genre!!!

LOL! That's naughty;) I actually saw one I was going to read - then decided no - then thought I should as it's on the list!!!!!
*Covers eyes* I will do a vote where I click anything I don't want my TBR to grow anymore!!Seriously with the day I've had....I don't want to push it. But tomorrow is a day off spending it with a friend and her little young one..SO...I am looking forward to chatting over coffee and all.

Thank you..I suspect we will do...Her eldest child will be at school soo we won't get interrupted as much either which will be nice too.
Unfortunately I haven't had time these last few months, due to work overload, to participate in any GR discussions, but I hope to get back into the interesting chats now!

She most certainly did! And one from the Governor General, the Prime Minister and the Premier of NSW. She felt very special.

Just voted, although I only vote in the categories I read. Does everyone do that? Did anyone watch/or go to the Melbourne Cup yesterday? I had plans to watch it, got waylaid doing something came in as they were interviewing the winner, Michelle Payne riding Prince of Penzance. I don't bet but J and I always went and were in a box which was always quite swishy.
So sad to hear that the crowd favourite Red Cadeaux broke down with a fracture to front fetlock. He was retired immediately and I hope to hear of a good recovery.
I saw it at work. We stream it to our meeting room and have champagne and strawberries (and a sweep of course!) It was a great race, the best finish for a long time. Michelle Payne is a great ambassador for female jockeys and it was lovely to see her brother Stevie, the horse's strapper in the limelight as well. I'm not much into betting and have no idea but just love seeing all those beautiful horses. It was good to hear that Red Cadeaux was being operated on and should recover to enjoy the long retirement that he deserves.
the staff all had a lunch together at work - something that rarely happens because we're a call centre and stagger lunches. The boss let us put the phones on message bank for an hour and we all put in to get a couple of platters of rolls and nibbles from Coles to share for lunch - and yes we had bubbles too!!
@B, yes I only vote in categories I read, on books I've read, which is limiting. I generally use the awards to add more books to my TBR. It's always a nice feeling tho' if one of my favourites wins.
Hi everyone,Anyone from Melbourne (or visiting Melb in Feb! ) and are interested in a get together next year, please let me know in this thread :)

Oh my goodness Mish! I am a Melbourne reader (and author) and just got back from the Sydney meet up which I loved! will comment on the thread now :-)
Just spent three and a half hours sorting out my TBR room and making sure I have it all listed on my spreadsheet. Only found two duplicates, LOL!
Of course here's still the library upstairs.....
Only two Marianne, that's amazing. That would have been a fun few hours, I'd have helped if I lived nearby lol. I need the motivation! Slightly envious you have a tbr room.... ;)
DH wanted to know how I had sorted it. He didn't really believe all the books on the floor would end up back on shelves......I have piles like humour, non-fiction, male author lit, female author lit, Australian lit, Fantasy & horror, crime series etc etc

That sounds like a fun afternoon. Do you feel all organised now? :)

Do you scan them Marianne?
@Julie You are so way ahead of us technologically. I didn't know a laptop/PC could scan. I could give you my address, and offer a room, plus the added extra of living on the ocean if you like to come and d-r-a-g me into 2015. Oh, I don't cook. Added big bonus, you get to meet me!!!
