Oh dear! The thought was a great idea but everyone else had the same thought! Hope you can have a good relaxing day today and get re-hydrated:)

Thanks Brenda, yep! ;)

Welcome home Jools! Sounds like you need to put your feet up for a bit and give them some rest. Bet your little dog will be pleased to see you back :)
Have to admit I totally forgot about the bookexpo. DH and I have had some projects underway the last few weekends to try and wrest back some control over our garden. He's away so much that it's been sadly neglected this year.

My little dog was beside herself! She has lost a bit of weight which I thought she might as she won't eat when she's fretting. But she tucked straight into a huge big dinner last night when she got home and has had a good brekky which included her favourite toast this morning ;) I missed her so much, now she is sticking to me like a magnet once more! :D

Glad you had a good night Suzanne. I vaguely remember my 40th :)

Glad it was a good time Suzanne. Belated happy birthday wishes.

Thanks Suzanne and Happy 40th Birthday to you!!! :D
Suzanne is going to have lots of days to celebrate...2 days until her birthday and I guess we'll raise a glass to her next weekend;)

Hi Michael, it was just long enough, as much as we loved every bit of it we were all glad to come home to our pets and our own beds. We had six plane flights in 12 days which was more than enough for me as I am not fond of flying :|

So not late after all with my birthday wishes, thanks Brenda for keeping us on track

A 40th Birthday deserves at least a week of celebration!

Your poor little girl! I bet she was fretting. I bet she'll make the most of letting you spoil her now :)
I am looking forward to our holiday in December even though it's still 6 weeks away. Our garden is looking a lot less like a wilderness after a big weekend of pruning, repotting and weeding. Still a bit to do but at least it's not too embarrassing if we want to have a barbie!

Carolyn wrote: "12 days Brenda. Cruising would be nice but we'll be flying. It's basically a week's holiday tacked onto a conference my DH is going to in Honolulu. I've never been there before so it should be fun :)"
Oh that'll be awesome! You'll have lots of free time to explore and shop if DH is in a conference;)

Yes, I'm looking forward to that! I'm sure there will be heaps to do on my own for a few days :)

My daughter has done that when her other half went to Hawaii for work. The company paid for her ticket and they paid for the kids - little Miss Lily was only 8 weeks old! James was 3. They then extended their stay by a week - they loved it.
There was a tsunami alert while they were there and all the tourists rushed down to the beach to watch for it! All the locals headed for high places. My daughter was on the 10th floor so they just watched tv and kept in touch with me back here in Australia.
The water rose a couple of cms - which was good for the tourists all done by the beach!

Seeing all my AR friends will be the icing on the cake!!!!

We've booked condos (apartments) so that we can mostly self-cater so we'll be several floors above the water and any tsunamis!

Happy Birthday for yesterday xxx

Great pics Suzanne! You look very happy - and most certainly not almost 40..now if you said almost 30 I would have possibly been persuaded;)
I am extremely thrilled to announce that hubby and I are going to be grandparents again! Our daughter and her partner are expecting their first child in May next year:) Woohoo! Happy days!!!

Great news Brenda! Reason to be excited.

Congratulations!

Wonderful news! And even more wonderful you can enjoy them and give them back. The best of both worlds, Brenda ;)

I knew there was a reason I like you, Brenda! lol ;))

And you look spoilt and happy - thank you for sharing

Being a grandparent is the best - you get to cuddle, coo and spoil and then hand back the sugar high bouncy darlings back to their parents!!!

@Bette, my feet absolutely loved the foot massage! Though they are still very tender on the soles from blisters I got through walking around in [those expensive footcare type] thongs which had a pattern on them that became abrasive with walking! :/
We did have a terrific time though, and would definitely recommend it!
@Veronica, next year I will go with you! ;))
