what a cheeky bird, Dale. very bold move on his part.

Lol, no it's just a very good lookalike..."
I will have to get the details when I arrange mt trip, my hubby and I loved that movie and would love that style of Hotel.
As for books in asia, it's so humid here, the quality of second hand books is quiet bad :(

Haha! I've seen that before! They are very cheeky and certainly not frightened!

A born mimic, they can copy over 35 other bird calls as well as dogs and horses. Imagine seeing a magpie but hearing a horse! lol:)

Sounds lovely Carolyn, although it's a wee bit chilly this morning. We saw some quite little blue wrens in the city but none around by place.

You're making me homesick Carolyn :) Our last day today and as much as we have loved it, we are looking forward to reclaiming our little pets and sleeping in our own beds again. What a great trip though!! Most highly recommended :D
Leave this afternoon for HK and then transfer for flight home to Sydney...see you all on the weekend sometime ;)

Definitely too chilly to be out in the garden this morning Veronica but our deck is covered and out of the breeze.
Unfortunately, not a very nice day to have off work but I've had a lovely time stocking up at the garden centre this morning - my second favorite place after bookshops :)

Have a good trip back Jools! Sounds like you've been away the perfect amount of time - had a great holiday but ready to come home :)

And we have just arrived home a few hours ago Jools:) Safe journey!

Welcome back Brenda. Hope your later accommodation worked out better than the start of the trip!

At least you'll be able to put your feet up now for quite a few hours, with a good book and a nice cuppa or glass of wine:)

Ohhh weekend is here!! Can't wait to do nothing...I've stuffed my left leg muscle up....I think a spa and reading is required for at least tomorrow!! I'm not really thrilled either because it stopped me walking properly O_o

Oh yes:) I've posted them in the thread Marianne:)

At the moment, it's a week;) But that's only to Sydney for two days to meet and greet with some of our AR friends:)
After that - a cruise in April next year is all that's on the agenda (so far!)
Take care of the leg muscle - relaxing and reading is a good idea!

Oooh very nice..I've never been on a cruise..I always worried I'd get bored but there is something magical waking up and seeing just sea around you and heading out to the deck to see the sunrise up (did that on the Tas to Melb boat few times).
Thank you! I shall do. I've never experienced double cramping legs before until 2 days ago. Wasn't fun especially leading 24 children to a bus...lol
The old fashioned thought (my Dad used to say all the time) is you need more salt in your diet!!! Don't know how true it is;)

I complained to my Mum about the cramps and she pointed me to some supplement but I cannot remember what it was...ooowww bugger :|

I used to suffer a lot from cramps in the legs and was told it had something to due with dehydration and I notice if I don't drink my usual several glasses of water a day they come back.

I thought you didn't like cruising, Brenda? Did hubby sweet talk you into it?! Hope you're stocked up on ginger and Quells and acupressure bands etc!
LOL! Still not sure Kathryn! But this one is just going up the coast. I'm hoping that because we won't be "out in the ocean" it'll be alright! lol.... I'm hoping...
I just came back from the movies. We saw Bridge of Spies with Tom Hanks. It was really good. Spielberg at his best. The Russian spy was played by the same actor who played Cromwell in Wolf Hall.
That one would be really good I think...I've seen the trailer and liked it:) Glad you enjoyed it Phrynne!

Did anyone go to the Sydney book expo?? I know Andrea Drew was having a stall there...hope it went well. Wish I could have gone.

Welcome back Julie. Glad it was a great time.
Can't help re Sydney book expo. I didn't go.

I went on the Saturday Julie. There were about 40 indie authors and all books were selling for $15 to $20. All the authors were lovely and it was so nice chatting to them I wanted to buy everyone's books but after buying 5 books, transport and lunch it was an expensive day. They had quite a few books on display which I was interested in but they weren't selling them until Sunday. I went with my mum who is not a reader so she was a little bored.

Welcome back Jools - sounds like you had a great time

Am so tired today - think the heat has sapped all the strength out of us. May continue to drink lots of water - turn the air conditioner on early - and read today.

We were down at Sussex inlet on time and a kookaburra came and pinched a sausage off the barbecue. Then sat on the tree nearby and tried to kill the sausage. DH was standing at the barbecue at the time. What could we do but laugh at the cheek of it!
