That was delightful. I think it showed a Labradors true character. And what about the ones who didn't eat the biscuits until their owners shut their eyes? So funny.

I loved the labs, esp the one that just couldn't go past the tennis balls. He was good and ignored the chook and the dog bikkies but tennis balls? Nup, no way!

They were so funny! I loved the one with the tennis balls - reminded me of our kelpie/staffie cross.

Oh yes, the big, brown, eyes....beseeching you, following you, making you feel guilty - I am very familiar with them!

I could see a faint haze of smoke on the western horizon but presume that was blown in from Port Lincoln fire?
I do worry for people and their belongings in fires but have seen too many sheep etc trapped in the paddocks and burned to death, koalas who don't move fast enough and perish, small wildlife.

I see our bad fire season has worked its way back to you guys. Stay safe.

I do the same when low on petrol, drive faster; quilt more quickly when I know I'm short on the fabric I'm using! Think I should be blonde?

Oh no!! We have those dirty big Ibis' advancing on our neighbourhood. They are very messy and climb into bins etc and pull everything out looking for food scraps. They used to confine themselves to areas where there is likely to be more scraps, like train stations and outside fast food shops in the main streets...now they are wandering around the streets as dirty, slack people leave/chuck their takeaway food bags from their parked cars.
I'm sure these birds now recognise the brand name on the bags and go in search of "fries" etc.

You are the boss of your garden!
raise your arms up by your sides and charge at them bellowing! trust me they skedaddle!

Very cute Liam. On the news this morning they had a piece about firemen rescuing ducklings from a drain. One of them had the whole lot in his helmet.

We sweltered in the mid-30's yesterday before the temperature dropped. Today we're back to a chilly wintry blast. Strong winds fanned several bushfires that broke out in yesterday's heat so I hope the weather stays cool long enough to give the firefighters a chance.
We had bushfires yesterday too in the 36 heat! And today it's blowing a gale and about 21! Such a contrast - no wonder people get sick!
I'm not sick but oh the hay fever!!!! My nose is streaming and my eyes ITCH. It's the wind of course blowing all the pollen around.

Oh you poor thing Phrynne! I'm so lucky I don't suffer from hay fever! I feel so sorry for all those who do...I hope you don't suffer too long...

And summer hasn't even started

I know - it seems to get worse every year:(

Oh Phrynne I can sympathize, I have been like that since the start of Spring! Some days I couldn't read at all as my eyes were so bad and sore from constant watering. I am beginnng to rattle with the amount of antihistamines I've taken everyday since...sometimes a couple a day. The amount of times I've bitten my tongue sneezing means it's also sore. Come on holidays! :))

She's not joking either. Happens all the time. Really bad if you are eating Weetbix at the same time:)

Phrynne, I totally understand. I get it horribly. I bet thigh, that my sneezes are louder! I haaaaate hayfever..

Thanks Jools!! I'm sitting here watching my family clean up after dinner.. I'm not gonna do it every time lol lol lol

Welcome home Marianne (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

Good to be back: my bed is wonderful and my shower has lovely hot water and pressure!!!
We arrived just after six, but had to wait on the baggage to come through (all those books, no doubt weighing it down, LOL) so didn't get out of the airport until about an hour later.
Did our best to stay awake all day: unpacking, sorting the washing, buying some groceries, etc etc.
Finally succumbed to sleep after a bit of dinner, went to bed about 7.30pm, DH said "see you at 2am".
Slept really well until, you guessed it, 2am. Saw a light on, there he is having a cuppa. What, I said, did you set the alarm? Nah, just the body clock going off.
Anyway, forced myself back to sleep after a read but couldn't really stay in bed after about 4.30, so eventually got on the treadmill (no fun after 6 weeks of laziness! but I have books to read).
Have to get into this time zone: I don't want to fall asleep during the Lit Lunch tomorrow, Magda Szubanski

Sadly it never works like that!

Hahaha, that sounds like a good time Sally! ;)

I had a pretty lazy holiday. Strolling around sites is not exercise and I ate more at every meal than usual.
As a Cloggie, I'm interested to hear you're going to Holland: do you have family there? Lots of nice things to eat if you like Dutch food.
The worst part after a lovely holiday Marianne is the extra weight (on our person)!! Never mind, you have lots of determination - I'm sure it'll be gone soon:)
