Haha, feeling better now, spent a small fortune on groceries enough to last a month!Brenda, it is a similar program to Word and it automatically saves itself as you go but there appears to be a glitch/bug in the program all of a sudden?! I will use another program until I sync it and hopefully get it sorted. Maybe it needs an update??
I will post my review later tonight...sorry for the hold up Susan! :/

Now I tend to avoid writing any or write them outside then copy paste ;)

@Julie - that sounds so frustrating :(I write my reviews straight into GR..I've only had a few slip ups. Don't have Word on my PC anymore which is a bit slack on my part.
Weeeee! Finished a full day of relief work which is good. I was worried I'd have trouble sleeping tonight..don't think that'll be the case now..haha
Ty :) and now normal work tomorrow. just looked outside n it's a very odd pink :o We had warm weather for the first time in ages..was lovely.

At Lake Garda at the moment, paying for Wifi and don't know when it will drop out, so I might wait until we get to the hotel with free Wifi tomorow to read posts and reviews....And maybe post some more photos

Same! I know I put a lot of time into mine, so don't want to lose them!

I use word to write up my reviews and have never had any trouble with losing them. Once my laptop closed down in the middle of one but I found it quite easy to recover it.

No I've had no trouble since using word either Veronica :) Thank goodness!

My email is much too efficient. I accidentally placed a Goodreads email in my junk and after thinking I'm not getting many updates I found ALL my goodreads emails in the junk folder.
I have Word on my PC but not on my ipad. The program that I use though is good and has never been a problem before this, I think it was just a glitch but will know after some updates and syncing have been done. All of my previously saved reviews are still intact.Actually my ipad has been having a few hiccups of late so maybe it is telling me something?? I don't know the lifespan of an ipad but I do know that Apple have just released a new one....hmmm.
Fortunately I usually make notes as I read and write them on a notepad, or save bits on kindle, so no big problem. It was just annoying more than anything because I was onto the final tweaks and edits! ;)
i guess there is also google docs or even the free word online that could be used if you have troubles with your programs or wanna do something away from home/pc.
julie how long have you had your ipad for? We've got some of the first gens (really heavy..lol) and they are pretty useless now. actually one has an egg timer ap and that's what it constantly gets used for and nothing else! lol
It's 4th gen Laura so not too old...3years-ish. I still have the old first one and it is heavy by comparison! It's still good though and I still use it for my reading kindle and ibooks when batteries are flat elsewhere ;)It also has a lot of books that aren't on this one.
nice so not that old! You first gen sounds better than what I've got. It has a life of its own and shuts everything down or won't let you open things...it's been rebuilt a few times to tackle the issue but to no help..egg timer is the only thing it does without failure...lol
Michael wrote: "Not to far of retiring it Julie. Generally after that apps you have will not be able to update as you will have an old operating system that no longer supports them. Moral of the story look at last..."Hmm, you might be right Michael, I will see how she goes. I do give it a bit of a hiding so can't complain.

I havent fired up the old one in a while so maybe I should...since these recent big updates to accommodate the new apples...maybe she will be redundant too!! :(

Just got back from watching the Scorch Trials at the movies!!!! Totally loved it!!!! Great acting and Dylan O'Brien...oh my gosh...I think I fell in love with him even more...if that's possible lol!!! Hahaha
I saw this on the news the other day; this would make an amazing mystery novel. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/...

I'd hope they would make a book; I would read it. Alas, Hollywood makes anything into a movie.

You get crows over there in Australia?
You get crows over there in Australia?
Yep! We have 6 different sorts. Really the ones I'm talking about are ravens but everyone here calls them crows as there isn't too much of a difference besides their call.
What is the difference? I have no idea. We have some really big black birds that caw loudly and we call crows but maybe they're not.
I know we don't have Rooks (another huge black bird with long sharp black beak) but they do in New Zealand (introduced pest - they are trying to eradicate it)
We have koels. They are big and noisy. They lay their egg in the magpies nest and the poor little magpies have to try and keep this great big skawking baby fed.

Poor little magpies not! There is one apparently trying to kill me and my dog every morning now it is Spring. I officially hate all maggies:)

They're terribly dangerous in Spring...I agree they're hateful, though they're only trying to protect their offspring...

We used to get them when we lived in Calgary Alberta. However, we don't seem to get them in Vancouver. We get crows and Canadian geese.

Recently in Vancouver we have had bears coming in and playing in people's pool. Kids will be kids regardless of species. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british...

In the United States someone was lucky enough to get a mama with her 5 cubs playing in the person's backyard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCpi_...

Carolyn wrote: "What is the difference? I have no idea. Ravens tails are long and wedge-shaped, while crows have a fan shaped tail. A raven has a curved bill, while a crow has a flat bill. A raven's wing span is 3.5-4.0 feet, and a crow's wing span is around 2.5 feet. Ravens are around 24-27" long, crows are around 17" long. Ravens are better predators than crows because they are larger and more powerful.
Also, crows are increasing in numbers while ravens are decreasing in numbers. Crows are seen more in an urban setting and are more social than ravens. A crow makes a caw sound, while a raven makes more of a croaking sound. Ravens have more vocalizations than crows, some have up to 100 different vocalizations.
Thanks Bette for the detailed description. I'll have to look more closely set the big black birds strutting around our park. They tend to be solitary and strut around as if they own the park. I think they are ravens as their call is a cro-oakkk rather than a caw sound. On a related theme I saw a bush turkey walking along the pavement towards St Leonard's station on Sydney's lower North shore on my way home yesterday. It's all built up with apartment blocks so I don't know where he came from.

@Bette - Yeah, I looked them up when people kept calling them crows and was told we only had ravens here so I wanted to know what was right and what was wrong :)I watch the cheeky Currawongs poach scraps out of the school rubbish bins (made an utter mess of the surrounding area..lol)...And on another day I stood their sharpening pencils and watching this bird outside..It was jet black and its eye colour had to be the most intense orange I'd seen in along time.

Not too bad here in Vancouver. Weather is getting fallish so I felt that it was time to buy a new book and some new teas.

@Michael -Sounds like a nice relaxing day. Ahhh Big W can be such a trap for awesome book prices!! I avoid the book area these days..lol We had a super hot day yesterday 26C which after mid teens it was boiling.@Melissa - What type of tea do you like?
I'm used to the term Fall due to who I know..Mostly cause I used to talk with a lot of people from the US/Canada area..And I think some of Europe use it as well.

Fall overseas is the same as our Autumn Michael:)

I believe you guys may use Autumn. Whereas we go more american and say fall.
Personally, I would prefer a long winter over an excessively hot summer.
