Hubby did ask If was Ok to go cycling. He's in training for his cycling trip to the Italian Alps next month and after the last couple of wet weekends we've had he needed a long ride. It is a gorgeous sunny (but cold ) morning.

No, he did ask if I wanted to go but he's going with a bunch of blokes (no partners). If there was time afterwards for a few days travelling on our own I'd think about it but he has to be back for work. Would rather save my $ and do a trip together some other time.

Oh noooo, I just discovered that the Sydney Book Expo will be on in October this year...last year it was in August...and I will be away! :OIt was really good last year.

I finally tried the Vegemite chocolate today - you guys have been driving me crazy with your reports, but when I was looking for it in the supermarkets it wasn't there till today! I know I was in Coles Thursday and was keeping an eye out for it but it didn't seem to be there...No matter - I have some now, I've tried 2 squares, and I quite like it. Just as I thought - it's like a rich salted caramel. The Vegemite isn't strong - I don't think I would even know there was Vegemite in it if someone had handed me a piece and not told me what it was!
Just got my washing in as the sun is down and soon it would have been wet with dew.Hubby home from Moss Vale, said it was -2C overnight, he had to break the ice off the bike cover and the seat this morning. But he has good bike gear so not cold while riding.

Yikes, that is cold to be out biking. I'd have trouble getting my legs to move at that temp. :)
No, Vicki, I haven't either, nor do I plan to. I do like the Salted Caramel Lindt chocolate (it was on special this week at Coles, half price!) but no, not doing the Vegemite thing.But I did mention your Vegemite, toast then butter thing at work and someone said they were going to try it.
Then I described my favourite summer Sunday night meal (Sunday night is GYO at our house): slice of bread (pref wholegrain), spread with peanut butter, slice of cheese (tasty is good), coleslaw (because in summer there's some fresh in the fridge), sliced banana and topped with another slice of bread, which has been spread with chutney. Yummm

And I'm happy to keep it that way Vicki, I love chocolate and I love Vegemite but I don't want them on the same plate ;)

I know I was in C..."I agree with you Kathryn. The vegemite taste is very subtle.You probably wouldn't think it was vegemite. Personally I like it and what's good about it is that you can't have too much of it as the flavour is so strong.

You're right, Marianne - you've got something from every food group (vegetables, fruit, grains/cereals, meat & alternatives and milk/cheese/yoghurt) there - plus some extras in your condiments... Not sure whether I would be game enough to try it - I do like peanut butter and banana sandwiches, not sure about the cheese and coleslaw additions!

I Haven't tried it either, Dale. I like salted caramel as a flavour, but think blending chocolate with vegemite could be pushing it.
