yea that would defiantly get you sent to the school psychologist lol
but hey its a mark of a good writer that they sat up and noticed :D

message 1952: by Neko (new)

Neko :o i guess those stories will get people asking questions. i wrote some strange stories for short writing class...one where a little boy sets fire to his tree house and had an obession with wrecking things..lol didn't get me sent anywhere.

i just found it easier to write than something all 'perfect' or 'wonderful'..Because with distruction you can go completely out of control and it can be all unbelieveable since it's a style..But if you make a perfect story go wonky it can come out terrible.

Ah, i've lost my voice somewhat..erp. I woke up screaming O_o;;

message 1954: by Neko (new)

Neko Hehe, thankyou, i do too.

★ Jess | 3071 comments In messages 2372 and onwards, I was talking about entering the South Australian Young Writers Award (or whatever its called), and i finished my story. I brought it to school today, and was reading in through in science, when I should have been studying. Upon completing it, I decided that it should never see the light of day, and I wont hand it it: I will take it back home and hide away in my desk draw because it is so DARK and CREEPY and MORBID.
Then my friend Connor lent over and asked if he could read it. After saying 'no' over and over he snatched it from my hands and read it through. When he was finished he looked up and told me that it was 'absolutely brilliant' and it is 'no joke, one of the greatest things I have read in ages'. He says I am an 'outstanding writer'. Then he threw the story to another friend, Caitlin, who said it was 'magnificent and need to get that published one day'. I thanked them both, feeling happy, but still didnt plan on handing it up to the teacher.
However, Caitlin snatched it from my hands and thrust it into the teachers face the second we got into english.
my English teacher (who is a harsh critic/marker) read it and said something like 'the writing and style are spot-on perfect and the plot held my attention the whole way through. Really, really enjoyable. Great work!'
Since then, heaps of people have read it. Some hate it and cant get past the first page, and other love it. Makes me feel terrific inside, considering I originally didnt want anyone to read it :)

So yeah, thats what happened to me today.

The problem is, your body doesn't usually let you sleep further than normal...mine doesn't anyway, lol!! So it'll be waking earlier than normal, and tryyyiing to go back to sleep..Ha!!

message 1970: by Neko (new)

Neko Yes >_<; That is going to be be a problem. Maybe for a while keep a mallet next to the bed then you can conk yourself out hahaha XDDD

message 1971: by [deleted user] (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Daylight savings...crazy, silly thing.
My body clock is completely out of wack. Its not even 7:30 and im dead tired.
Its either daylight savings, or the fact ive been out with friends ALLLL weekend. Or maybe a bit of both.

Had heaps of fun last night. Went to a delicious dinner at a nice cafe with 8 other friends-4 boys and 4 girls-then walked back to my house. We watched 'Misery', which is damn scary, but funny watching other peoples reactions. After that we played some card games and then sat by the pool, talked and some people played soccer. Then we dragged out the chairs, sat in the middle of the grass and talked until about 11, then people got picked up. Lots of fun :)

Sounds like a great night out Jessica! Great to do that with friends isn't it...
It definitely is day light savings making you so tired....I'm exactly the same. Takes our body clocks awhile to catch up, that's for sure!!!

Neko @Brenda- I'm subscribed to Beer Masons where I get different beer from all over the world 4 times a year and then there is this shop in town called 'Cool Wines' that has a very interesting range of beers/wines/ciders.

It was cool pouring the drink into a glass cause it was purple, looked like a poison..lol

@Carmel- Yay! And glad you have a greeeaat time :D!

I'm off sick..Much to my dislike of missing my 3rd last day -.-; Either lots of sleeping today or some reading if my eyes can focus..lol

I didn't realize you received beer from all over the world with your subscriptions! I think that purple drink would be good, cos you can tell everyone it's just blackcurrent juice, and very healthy.. lol

Just received my parcels from BD...both of my classics that I ordered David Copperfield and A Tale of Two Cities. But the 2nd one is very badly damaged...part of the back cover ripped off! So I have sent them an email, and hope they'll replace it for me...:(

No this is the first time it's ever happened Jessica. I'd say it wasn't noticed when it was packed, because it was the back of the book...
