Strange isn't it?

Head to your local library and use one of the computers available there!

I've just been ignoring it and hoping it'll go away by itself (my general approach to IT problems!)
That's right Carolyn. This book showed up on my Read list with a one star rating and a couple of people had already commented about how low the rating was!!! Well it wasn't my rating as I haven't even read the book nor is it on my TBR list. I deleted it from my read list and it all went away:)

Interesting the review/star comments. I had single stars, five times, given to both my books in a couple of days of each other a month or so ago, and when I tried to see where they came from, they didn't seem to exist, then about a week latter, they mysteriously disappeared.
Good Morning, I just went to the local library and picked up two signed copies of Kylie Chan's books. That is three signed copies of her books I have now, and only cost me $1. Very exciting.

So something mysterious is going on. The book I supposedly gave one star to was not one of yours Sharon.

Just read on a local news website about a woman being taken to hospital due to snake bite. Now I feel all freaked out, even though I know that they are probably are around more than we realise. Why does this country have so manly deadly creepy crawlies?.......
Regina wrote: "Just read on a local news website about a woman being taken to hospital due to snake bite. Why..."Yes we do have lots of creepy crawlies Regina, but you are probably at more risk of being bitten by a dog or a cat than a snake or spider ;)

☼♄Jülie wrote: "Yes we do have lots of creepy crawlies Regina, but you are probably at more risk of being bitten by a dog or a cat than a snake or spider ;)"Yes!! I couldn't agree more, Julie.
Regina, I live and travel in places where snakes etc are common and I've never had any problems. It's not as if they chase you. Most bites happen when people accidentally stand or otherwise on them. So long as you can see where you're putting your feet or your hands, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. I'd certainly rather have snakes over bears and wolves any day. :)
We had a python in our neighbour's tree at the weekend. The Fire Brigade came to take it away and said it had just eaten! A bird I suppose!
Apparently a little brown snake tried to shop in our local IGA today!http://www.muswellbrookchronicle.com....

Better a little brown snake than a very large tiger snake on your front porch like I had last summer over a metre long, very scary especially when they hiss at you. But as a friend pointed out they would love my garden I have rocks, palm trees, a pond and grasses a boardwalk to sun itself on.I also blame the snake for the demise of the frog in the pond.

I thought so too, actually.
Years ago when I first worked in the Pilbara, I was part way through treating a patient in the hospital (physio room) when they said "Are you going to do anything about the snake on the floor over there?"
This was the era before snake catchers, so I ended up holding it down with a pair of crutches while to doctor wielded a wheel brace.
Nowadays we call the snake catcher.
I looked out into the backyard of my home in Davidson - Sydney's North Shore - one day and saw a large python curled around the trunk of a tree. It hung around - :-) - for a couple of days and then moved on. The reptile people said to call them if it came into the house! Small cobras were regular visitors when I lived in a house on the outskirts of Singapore. Live and let live was our mutual pact.

That sounds like a true country girl Leonie. My 85yo MIL saw a snake in her garden a couple of weeks back.she held it down with a pitch fork and cut off its head with a shovel. I'm a city girl I just run and scream "snake, snake , snake"
Speaking of screaming, the other morning when I woke up for work (8am wakeup, hell for me), I was having my shower and just still 90% asleep - I look up and see a huntsman the size of my hand crawling across the ceiling above me and, cos I wasn't compus mentus, reached up and flicked it with my razor. It dropped straight down into the shower with me and I screamed loud enough to wake mum up the other end of the house.

LOL!!! Sorry Liam, not really funny...

I'm going to wait until tomorrow before popping back into this thread again. LOLI've had encounters with brown snakes i n the past. The last one being when one was heading towards the swimming pool that my kids were in (a metre away from the pool fence), we only became aware because the dog reacted.
I was unsettled by that for ages!
Liam I would have been screaming too!

Isn't it, Brenda? Why are we all laughing, then? I'm just picturing Liam screaming in the shower.....LOL
Phrynne wrote: "So something mysterious is going on. The book I supposedly gave one star to was not one of yours Sharon"It appears some type of electronic troll thing, not necessary aimed at anyone, readers, or writers, but to cause some type of havic with goodreads.

Michael wrote: "Will do Julie. Have another two shows to go see and maybe a Tubular Bells one. We had seen his show and then gone to a coffee bar next to the venue after - he came in and was sitting at the bar by himself looking around and caught my eye. I nodded and smiled at him not wanting to intrude and he picked up his beer and came over to where hubby and I were sitting and joined us. he said he always felt bad when people didn't want to disturb him. he chatted for about half an hour then he went. Was gob smacked!!! A few years later an online friend of mine from Melbourne saw him and was trying to take photo of him without 'disturbing' him when he turned around and came over - he got a passerby to take a picture of the two of them and he put his arms around her shoulders.
Lovely, lovely man.
He's not coming to Darwin this trip :(
Maybe we frightened him away - LOL!!!
That's a wonderful story Sally! These "unapproachable" celebrities are often the complete opposite!
