I can see what you suggested on the desktop version though.

That was very interesting Michael :)
Good morning Dale, Marianne and any other Early Birds lurking around. A very early one for me today, been up since 2.45am. It's still quite warm outside after another scorcher here but cool inside fortunately:)
Morning EBs!Dog and I have jogged/walked and I'll be off to work in about an hour.
The Paris thing is awful.
Good Morning everyone - I'm at work - but not startingfor another 20 mins so having a quick catch up.Almost the end of the week - lunch with a friend today then tomorrow is the end of the week - whoo hoo!!!
Morning Everyone Hope you all have a fabulous day... I hopefully will too moving my girl friend from one small country town to another today and tomorrow.. she is taking the big step and moving in with her man... hopefully the humidity isn't too bad and the rain holds off lol.
Trying to read in the midst of all of this too
HI all, woke up to my son telling me about Paris, can't believe another tragedy (and the kids are getting 'used' to it too..), and not a life or death issue but pop up ads are now on the GR app on my phone. Those things are bad!

Michael wrote: "Yep i seen in horror an ad at the top of my GR app ahhhhhhhhhhhh. :/"Me too, for awhile there I thought it must have been there before and I hadn't noticed :((
Got a heap of novels yesterday, all different genres at the op shop, makes my situation with what to read next even harder, however, couldn't pass up the price at $1 and $2 each!
Faye wrote: "Got a heap of novels yesterday, all different genres at the op shop, makes my situation with what to read next even harder, however, couldn't pass up the price at $1 and $2 each!"Sound like great bargains Faye. At my local op shop the books are $4 each. still cheap but not $1.
That's really disappointing, Ashleigh. We only have one Dymocks left close by, and it's not a good one. We used to have 5 bookshops.
Ashleigh wrote: "So centre management at Erina Fair have made the "genius" decision that we need yet another cafe - including the food courts we have at least twenty if not more, places to choose to eat at througho..."Ashleigh I know how disappointing it is because we no longer have a bookshop have to travel 20 mins away. Would you have a library as they are free, always have multiple copies of popular books, I never wait too long for new releases. My library also order in books that I suggest and I am the first to read them. Plus you save a bucket load of money.Just a thought.
A big thank you to the very kind Aussie Reader who dropped in The Memory Tree at my house while I was at work today. I got home before the rain, but it was so well packaged and placed that that wouldn't have been an issue. Thanks so much, you know who you are! I will find a way to reciprocate.....eventually!
Now I can return the one I read to the library and I still have a copy for my little book club and my Mum to read.

Got a lot of reading done last night as a big storm knocked our power out for a few hours. Was lovely reading by candlelight and chatting to hubby.
I'm just back from the launch of Bronwyn Parry's latest, Storm Clouds - very successful with lots of books sold, heaps of signings (including mine) then a few of us went to lunch - I sat between Bron and her husband and met a couple of other authors and a professional editor, among others! A wonderful few hours.... the long trek back home again tomorrow:)
I'll post some photos after we get home tomorrow or Monday:)

Was great weather yesterday Michael, but it's raining here now - pouring in fact - and meant to rain up in this area tomorrow too...so maybe not so good tomorrow, at least starting off :)
I had a lovely policeman help me out this afternoon - left at a different exit to what I entered and couldn't work out where I was! I walked for a bit, then saw a police paddy wagon heading toward me, so I stood in the middle of the pedestrian crossing and waited for him! He set me straight, saying it's a bit of a maze around the area...he was smiling too;)

Just came back from seeing The Imitation Game at the cinema. I cried!!! Also felt a bit ashamed to be British. I did not know the homosexuality laws were not repealed until 1967.

I think the movies credits said that the movie was based on Alan Turing: The Enigma by Andrew Hodges.

Yes.my husband is currently reading it and thinks the movie may have over dramatised things a bit (surprise surprise). I really enjoyed the movie. I was just horrified by what happened to him in the end.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a promoting Author pages on Goodreads and which would be the best place to share them. Thank you All. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and A Great New Year. :)
During the week here, it's been so hot that it has burnt all of my rose blooms to a crisp. This weekend was predicted to be rainy but last night we've just had a bit of drizzle. Not much but enough to wet all the bed linen which I stupidly left on the washing line.
A shame about the washing Bette. I decided to leave mine to dry inside yesterday since I thought it would rain. It didn't. But it has rained all night steadily.Hope the rain is happening in fire areas.
