I hope everyone has a good and safe Christmas wherever they are :)
Home from the craziness of the supermarket! I couldn't believe the queue for people wanting seafood! Gave it a miss and called into another one on the way home..served straight away :)

We have a fish market (a very good one) down the road from where we live and by 5.45am I could see cars parked on the main road (no room left in the car park inside) and queues forming. Normally the police show up there at some point to help maintain order, but the fish market puts up marquees for shade and apparently offer around free samples while people wait and I've heard it moves pretty quickly and isn't too bad... I am still happy I don't have to go there!!
Hope you can relax now, Brenda, after doing the food shop, but I guess it now needs to be prepared!!
Relaxing to a degree Kathryn thanks :) Got lots of hours to do the preparation :)
Wow your fish market people aren't silly that's for sure! Lots of sales for them :)

Our fish market opens at 5am and was no doubt chaotic. I wasn't there. I've kept right away from any shops today. Only ventured out long enough for a coffee and to wish my lovely baristas a happy Christmas. Cooking chicken at present. Coleslaw is next on the agenda.

Yes - I wonder whether change their minds about what to serve the next day after tasting things in the queue!

Well crossing my fingers I have not forgotten anything or anyone. Weber bbq now on and has two roast beefs in there for tomorrow,as well as chicken curry for tonights dinner. Presents all wrapped, fruit platter sorted (including local cherries yummo) and potato layonnaise ready to go. Just back from seeing one part of the family, the rest tomorrow. Please tell me I have not forgotten anything or anyone.

We bought our prawns yesterday - straight off the trawler - Wayne and I are the only ones who eat prawns so they'll be our treat tomorrow night when the family goes home :)

Morning EBs and a Merry Christmas to you all!Came downstairs this morning to find a new camera on my laptop keyboard, a Canon Ixus. My last camera died a few years back and I've been making do with my phone, but we go to Italy in 2015, so this is very nice!
Hubby didn't know what he wanted: he's got socks....
Merry Christmas EBs and all Aussie Readers. Stayed up late last night, hilarious night at my eldest sister's place wrapping presents. Saw a streak of gold dust cross the sky, and heard a ghostly "ho, ho, ho" as we were leaving. Musta been Santa:D
Morning Marianne, Dale, Bette and anyone else around!Happy Christmas to all. I'm having a quiet cup of coffee in bed before starting what I need to do for the day. Enjoy playing with your camera, Marianne, and learning about what it can do - you'll be able to take lovely photos of your celebrations today! Love your comment about your husband and his gift!!
Oh, and weren't you lucky to see Santa, Bette?! Did he leave anything for you, or just the little ones??
I'm wondering how funny my 29yr old nephew will find the photo of his three age 40+ aunts dancing in his shorts on, over their clothes! Implemented, of course, by yours truly who was surely born with a bit of the devil in her:)Just the littlies in the presents last night, Kathryn.

Enjoy the day - better have the camera at the ready when your nephew unwraps that one!
Morning All, Merry Christmas!!! Well done Marianne, I think think you got the best of that deal ;)Happy Christmas Dale, not so early for me today as we still have guests and had a late night. I haven't been under the tree yet but there are some familiar looking shapes there ;))
...oooops, missed a page! Blame it on glassy eyes and sore head!
Good Morning and Merry Christmas to you also Bette and Kathryn :D
...ahhh so that was Santa!! I thought it must have been the Bubbly :)Big Brekky time now, better shake a leg.
Have a great day everyone and enjoy!
Merry Christmas. My partner has been hovering over the bread maker I gave him all day, cooking bread. He has looking for one for a few years. Now he has got one he is obsessed with it already.
26th December otherwise known as Boxing Day. So, who knows why it's called Boxing Day. Not me.... off to Wiki I go:Boxing Day is a holiday traditionally celebrated the day following Christmas Day, when servants and tradespeople would receive gifts, known as a "Christmas box", from their bosses or employers,[1] in the United Kingdom, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, South Africa, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and other Commonwealth nations.

Happy Boxing Day, Bette and the EBs! xx
Happy Boxing Day all. I received a bookish present yesterday. The latest book of poetry by Andrew Lansdown and had a lovely day with our son and daughter and their respective families.A lovely time to be all together on Christmas Day.
Happy Boxing Day everyone! This is my favourite day...after Christmas, where I just kick back and play with my "spoils" :D

My laptop is no longer working ..."Hi Vicki, I just logged on with my new laptop for the first time! The old one was about ten yrs old, a few repairs by a friend and it was just not worth persisting. Brendan bought me one as a surprise for Chrissy, but all day yesterday it wouldn't let me log on and it only just let me do it now. So I assume there was some sort of problem with gr?? I'd started getting frustrated using my iPhone as I couldn't access Aussie Readers at all.. All's well that ends well. Thanks for your offer to help, I'm hopeless and can use all the help I can get lol.

I thought of you as we drove past Heatherbrae, holiday is going well so far, especially being able to follow the Aussie Reader threads ;)

My poor mum's monthly usage has been chewed up with everyone logging into her wi fi though!
Marianne, lucky girl. Enjoy! I hope you all had a great Christmas and can continue to enjoy family and friends time this Boxing Day.
Happy Boxing Day everyone - a nice relaxing day for everyone after yesterday's excesses I hope - or maybe it will be more of the same for those of you who do one side of the family one day and the other side today :)Was stinking hot for us so we spent the day inside in the air conditioning and then ventured out to the pool once the shade came over.
They are forecasting the first monsoonal trough to come down in the dext few days which means relief for us from the relentless humidity. Downside is torrential rain and the chance of cyclones - fingers crossed for just the rain :)
