Today at work I noticed the hellies flying over the MT area...We've had this guy who is lost :/ I think this is the 3rd day too..
Someone threw themselves in front of a truck near mine today. Horrible traffic as a result.Copper who came in to the library was talking about it, was saying she was really "f***ing pissed off" when people do something like that, cos now the truck driver has to live with that for the rest of his life.

Are you planning on writing your own Factory Paul?
I just had a thought too...my Family tree could be called a Factree :)

Sadly I do - escaped the massive cutbacks here in the Territory last year - but now dealing with the fall out - members of public who rightly expect the same level of service but there is less staff on the ground - those left behind have to stretch themsleves inside out and still smile.
And I wonder why I am plagued with headaches.

That seems like a common story in government jobs doesn't it!

I like your comment Julie. In consideration ,It may be possible, to write a factory, but it may well take on the form resembling little more than a itemised schedule of events.
If children are to learn past events, would it be better to teach the writings contained under the heading History, or inform them that at times, life seems to have been reduced to appearing little more than a Factory.... I do jest in fun of course.
Thanks for your comment. My some times quirky sense of humour comes to the fore. :)

Yes that is lucky for you, however, nobody is safe I think this could just be the start of a very bumpy road, however, I am lucky I have a summer job as well when I am on holidays from the school, so that will keep me going a little (paying bills no luxuries) but I am grateful.
We live in the Upper Hunter - we've had notification of 650 job losses in the region just in the last four weeks. Fortunately both my husband and I still have jobs, but our small businesses are struggling badly as a result of prior job losses. There are lots of shattered people here.

A while ago I became afflicted by a serious psoriasis condition - never have suffered from it before. Over time. I ended up having to resign and have been living off my savings for about a year now. The income protections seems to be a very difficult process. I try not to think about it too much. It did gave an opportunity to complete and publish my novel. (I enjoyed that).
Sounds like a lot of people are really doing it tough at the moment.Glad to hear that you've enjoyed publishing your novel, Paul.
Well we've had 41 here today and even though yesterday they said it would be low 20s tomorrow, they've changed it! So now the estimated is 31c! Did I tell you I hate the heat?? ;D

Did I tell you I hate the heat?? ;D"Yuck! I think they predicted 32 here today (don't know what it actually got to) and 35 tomorrow and Sunday - and I thought that was bad, but 41 is ridiculous! It's not even summer, technically...
And whatever it got to in the middle of the day, there is a beautiful cool breeze blowing right now - I hope it hangs around tomorrow and Sunday as well!
A cool breeze would be lovely Kathryn! Do you know what else....there's another raging bushfire in the Blue Mountains - schools were evacuated today, houses are being evacuated. It's crazy! Those poor people...

Yes, thank you Leonie, I just lose myself in story - a magical world. I'm actually about a third of my way through a sequel - for no other reason other than just that . . . I enjoy it. : )
Here's a warning to fellow authors who are thinking of trying an Amazon Countdown deal.Having just scheduled one for my first book of short stories, I checked through and found that it wasn't scheduled in the UK because the original price was 9 pence too low to qualify. Seeing that Amazon works out the equivalent prices based on the US price, I was more than surprised to learn that what was acceptable in US dollars didn't qualify when converted. Next thing I read is that one cannot schedule a deal until the price has been the same for thirty days. I deduced from this that, even if I was to increase the price right now, the book couldn't be listed on UK Countdown for a month. Beat that!

For lack of better words, but that stinks. I hope it eventually turns out well for you Margret. :)
