Illy is a coffee from Italy..They have illy cafes over there...Yummy too. They sell illy beans and grounded beans in the supermarket here but it's quite expensive though.

I was very much a mature age student when I did my degree. All off campus, which for me at the time was good.

I have always been interested in University study, but cost has stopped me.

Same here Dale. I did one degree in the UK which was paid by my employer and another here as a mature age student which I paid for myself. One of my children did a second degree with HECS and is still paying it off!

Nowhere near enough time Michael! Better than the home detention though - what a joke! Thanks for sharing:)

don't worry about shelf space Suzanne. Plenty of room on the floor, on top of cupboards and under beds :)

Yep! They're on a pile between shelf and wall. So really, another shelf huh??

Oh well done! Stephen King is a great storyteller, definitely find room for those! And what a great idea to check reviews here to help you make decisions. I often wish I had the site with me when I'm bookshopping in the charity shops. When I get my tablet.....

My opinion for what it's worth Kathryn - from what you and others have said, it can't make it worse, surely!! Go for it and cross your fingers that it will improve things:) I will also cross mine for you:) Keep us updated;)

Thanks, Brenda! The cynic in me says I'm sure it could make it worse - or at least no change!! Am going out now, might think about doing it this afternoon - in the meantime, if anyone has downloaded the latest update in the last couple of days, I'd love to hear any thoughts on it!!!

I know what you mean Kathryn! Maybe google it to see if anyone has any reviews online on it?

Not sure, Laura - I don't use the mobile browser, nor do I use the app very often either. But I bit the bullet and downloaded the new update - and it doesn't seem much different. Still can't turn my phone around when I'm in the app - just as well I don't often type comments on my phone or I'd be driven nuts trying to type with that tiny keyboard when the phone is upright!

There is a Goodreads Feedback group, but there are lots of complaints there - I suspect my complaint would get lost! Besides, although I'm whinging about it here, it's hardly life or death stuff - but I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it in the feedback thread...or maybe I've just missed it - there are quite a few comments!!

Perhaps I will - I'll wait for a bit and see what the comments are about this newest update...

It used to - before the update at the end of September...

Makes me wonder.....Is it to do with the phone updates instead??

Marianne you'll love it when you do. My stores are quiet so I'm not in the way when I do it and you get really quick at it. It's fun!

Congratulations Suzanne! That's really fantastic!

Congratulations! Always fun to win a book. The first of many for you I hope.

Well done! Enjoy!

Congratulations Suzanne. Hope you enjoy it when you get it.

I like reading YA and thought my daughter would enjoy this one too. Alice Pung sounds like an amazing young woman.
I have won some good novels through first reads.
The Inheritance: A Novel of Suspense and Humor
Ronan's Echo
One is Come
Bound
Pegasus to Paradise
Under Fire

Not the only one Midnights-darling. Neither have I.

I thought you might have been on to something, Laura, when I realised I hadn't downloaded the latest iOS update on my phone, but no - still no rotation after updating... Besides, it stopped rotating as soon as I downloaded the GR update at the end of September. But good thought - thank you :-)

You might need to consult a teenager Kathryn! When all else fails they usually sort my phone problems out pretty quickly :)

That's excellent Veronica!!

Sorry but No! I'm a big meany and my children were never allowed to participate. They certainly did not need more lollies.

yeah It's just not about the lollies, It's also about the dressing up! What kid wouldn't want to dress up as one of there favourite characters?

Not in the slightest tbh.

No way!

Agree with everyone else so far, definitely not!

...and me! Our kids dont miss out on anything here and there is enough spending and preparations going on at this time of the year in readiness for Christmas. They can play dress ups anytime :)
