How old was Avery when he passed Bette? A terrible thing to lose a child.

Watched "Love At First Sight" on SBS with John Hurt and Phyllida Law. It was so beautiful that I wept! Love is ageless - but age can complicate it. Only 12 minutes. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it with a box of tissues next to you.
Michael wrote: "I am here Sally. Like Brenda i don't wan't to even think about Christmas as it means spending money on gifts lol. :D"Did someone say Christmas? NOOOOOOO!!!!! Six children between Hubby and I, six of their partners, eight grandchildren and one 86 year old much adored mother. Pressie fatigue - a first world whinge? And we've only just finished eating all the Easter eggs! Which, by the way, the manufacturers will be unwrapping and rewrapping in Santa Claus foil. Did you realise that Santa chocolates have developed very long ear-like hats in the past couple of years?

Click on the link of the book that you put into your post Faye, then under the cover picture on the left hand side of the page is a heavy green block which says "Want to read" - click on the 3 upright books right beside that box and it'll drop down where you can click on "currently reading". Good luck...

Mwaaaahhhhh! Didn't we just have Christmas?
Bette BookAddict wrote: "Postcards will be accepted, lots of holiday pics, lol!(do people actually send postcards these days, I wonder?) "
Bette, I've sent postcards on occasion, but more often than not, they beat me home. I like receiving postcards and have a few from travelling friends adorning the fridge. :)

I'm so glad you all had each other there for support. I hope the closure brings you a little peace. Hugs.

Good to catch up with all the family, I'm sure, but that's not ideally the way you want to do it... Still, as Brenda said, at least you were able to support each other. And you can share the happy memories, even if they are bittersweet.
As for postcards - I love sending them!! When I lived in the UK, I would sometimes send family and friends back here postcards of somewhere I even just went for the day!!

Hi Kathryn - I have an idea of what you must be feeling. Heartfelt greetings from a stranger who is thinking of you and hopefully won't always be a stranger. Best, Billie

I am an Early Bird every morning but on the days I have to work, I just have to get my walk done and get going: no time to chat....

Oh we just have the wifi on a timer switch so the kids aren't on the Internet all night! (Or their mother for that matter ;p)

Hmmmmm my reading has slowed terribly over the last couple of weeks. Bad eyesight is all to blame :( hopefully once I pick up my new glasses this week I'll be able to read the copious amounts of books that I have been able to in the past.

That's no good Kyla :( Do you read eBooks where you can increase the font size?

Kyla, I second what Brenda says. I don't even need to wear glasses when I read using my Kindle. I can't say the same for reading a paper book or even reading on my laptop.
5.21am on the laptop, 4.21 on the kitchen wall clock. I've just sat through one of the fastest hours of the year.Happy Sunday, EB's:)
Morning, Bette. Thanks for the reminder. Must remember to check all the various things with clocks. :)
Morning, EBs. Hubby was not well pleased to get up an hour earlier for work (effectively 4.30am and he's NOT a morning person!)
Marianne wrote: "Morning, EBs. Hubby was not well pleased to get up an hour earlier for work (effectively 4.30am and he's NOT a morning person!)"Ah yes, but the payoff of an extra hour's daylight at the other end will be well worth. So long as the carpets don't fade that is. ;-)

LOL
I'm not looking forward to getting up an hour earlier when I start back at work Tuesday.Today is tipped to be 33 degrees in Sydney and my husband and I will be working at a Bunnings bbq for our local netball team.
Well that's a relief - I have finally worked out how to get the conversations in order. Yesterday I tell you, it was doing my head in. :)

You've used the term I use for Avery; "my special boy". Forever precious, forever young.
