My entry room (2 book cases, a hall table, a treadmill) is my immediate TBR area. I decided to do a bit of reorganising.....books all over the floor in piles....hubby suggested some petrol and a match.....then later on, when most of the books were back into bookcases or at least looking fairly orderly, he suggested get rid of the hall table and install a proper bookcase. I have a crick in my neck from the 180degree change. But I said no, that would only encourage me. I now have a bit better idea of what's there and have put some books on the top of the TBR pile, at least until some ARCs come in and derail the whole plan!
Brenda wrote: "Well done Marianne! But I would have said yes to the new bookcase;)"Me too :) I've been angling for his and hers bookcase because too many of his are squashing out hers!!

And me! I love new bookcases. I only have nine of them around the house and really need more!

LOL "only nine". The top floor of our house is actually a library with bookcases around three walls, but only to chest height as the roof angles after that...
Ashleigh wrote: "One potential step closer to a job. Have two potential work experiences that are being investigated at stores where I know the manager of each well. Fingers crossed. They both are keen to help"I wish you all the best Ashleigh, hang in there. Where are you and what sort of work are you looking for. I only ask in case I know someone close by, where you are.

A couple of years ago I was terribly brave I sold all the books that I had read, because I don't re read. I made approx $800.00 and donated it to a charity that is very close to my heart. I felt good and was very pleased that things looked tidy.

My ebooks are deleted. Very few are kept except my classic children's collection. And most of them weren't classic when I got them - they are my childhood favourites. But that is only a shelf and a half.

But there are certain exceptions. I mostly donate them to somewhere like Lifeline to sell on and raise money.

Got a neat art exhibition in the library at Aldinga at the moment, all photography of Japan. Really nice stuff.
Yay! Have an hour and a half in the pool at work today, so I'm hoping the temperature is OK. Have woken up to a foggy morning here.

It is heated, fortunately, but the temperature can vary somewhat. Makes it hard for my painful people if it's too cool.

we went to a hot spa in New Zealand recently - there was snow around us but the pools were so warm that you did not feel in the slightest bit cold.Until you got out!!! It was a mad dash to get to the change huts to get dried and clothed!!!
Sally906 wrote: "we went to a hot spa in New Zealand recently - there was snow around us but the pools were so warm that you did not feel in the slightest bit cold."Did you go to the one where you had your own personal pool. We did that way back when we only had two children. It was so much fun.

Yes Veronica. Our own pool and paid extra for the luxury pack and got a small bottle of bubbly and plastic wine glasses, small tubs of ice cream and a big bottle of cold water. We got an hour.
