Haha...I texted my sister "good luck" this morning as she was catching a plane for holidays and lucky I noticed that auto correct gave an option of another word which rhymes with luck! Phew,not to be presumptuous about her agenda on said trip, but I quickly corrected it to read "luck".

Marina, the weather was amazingly mild. Every second day, we spent out and about exploring, so it wasn't all reading. :)

My online Aussie and NZ literary Lovers group will be reading this in November. Glad it has less than 300 pages, I often find the Miles Franklin awardees to be a bit dry.

There are 3 copies in the public library so will reserve a copy as soon as I get back from my holidays in August.

My hubby goes to the doctor for a script, chatting away, doctor shows his a book given to him by the author, says he doesn't really have time to read it. Hubby says, if Marianne can read 300 books in a year, you can surely read one, Yes, he says, but I've already read that one book. I suppose you want someone to read it for you and give you a review. Here, he says, give it to Marianne to read. So I've just been lumbered with 600 pages of a book I wouldn't have chosen: N by John Alan Scott. I warned him it wouldn't be any time soon, and how about hubby tries to read it for him?

I wonder why the doctor didn't simply tell the author, he didn't have the time/inclination to read it. I hope he doesn't pass off your review as his own.

Good luck! I always planned to do volunteer word in the Lifeline bookshop in Unanderra once I retired. Unfortunately, they closed down....and I'm not yet retired!

Yeah but that was my hubby exaggerating, something he tends to do to to impress. Last year was 230, according to GR, not 300.
