Not to mention 'Pierce Baby', as my mum refers to him.

That's interesting news, Sally, about Judi Dench needing her lines read to her - that would be more time-consuming, I would imagine to learn - I learn best by reading, not hearing. But maybe after years of acting, Judi is skilled enough to learn lines however she gets them.
And I've never seen a Pierce Brosnan 007 movie, Liam. Actually, I've never seen any 007 movies. Or should I not be admitting to that…? Judi Dench is almost enough to tip the scales in favour of watching, but not quite!
Liam wrote: "Gotta love James Bond, Kathryn."Hmm, maybe one of these days I'll get around to watching one… Do you have a favourite?
Probably Goldeneye. That was Brosnan's first, and it has Sean Bean as well. Gotta love Sean Bean.(or 'Sean Baby' as mum refers to him.)
If you like Brosnan check out Noble House set in the 70's in Hong Kong - it was a series, but I think is now available as a DVD. Having read the book he fitted my image of the main character. If you like James Bond try Vince Flynn and Mitch Rap - the 21st century JB :-o)
Faye wrote: "Did someone out there mention that Caroline Overington was there new favourite author?"
I've only read one of her books so far - Matilda Is Missing- and I loved it.

Faye wrote: "Did someone out there mention that Caroline Overington was there new favourite author?"I've just added her books to my TBR as they were recommended to me by someone else in another group :)
They all sound quite good.
oh good Sharon will wait to hear what you think I have so far liked the three I have read and about to start the next one.
I'll let you know Faye once I get around to them. Have you read her latest one No Place Like Home? My friend just finished that one and loved it.

hi Phrynne, I just finished Matilda is Missing and loved it too.
Sharon wrote: "I'll let you know Faye once I get around to them. Have you read her latest one No Place Like Home? I think I am actually enjoying her more than Jodi Picoult - maybe because I have read most of her books.

Look forward to seeing what you think of it Faye. Jodi Picoult is another favourite of mine, but I haven't read all of hers yet :)

Yup.

Not sure if I should be worried about my own sexuality when I sleep under a poster of Eric Stonestreet.

Shouldn't be, he's straight :P

Oh I know, he's gay-for-pay, but still. My mum is certainly concerned. :P
Haha - shows I am out of the loop! I do think he has sold out a bit with the whole Big W thing... a bit cringeworthy.
I love it. No idea why he's suddenly the face of Big W but it's fantastically shameless :P That's where my poster is from actually.
I do love a Big W bargain... books especially. Does he ever manage to penetrate your dreams? (Okay, I did NOT mean it like that)
Angela wrote: "I do love a Big W bargain... books especially. Does he ever manage to penetrate your dreams? (Okay, I did NOT mean it like that)"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA oh god now people at work are looking at me funny.
Not that I can remember but I don't often remember my dreams so he may have :P I'm sure having Eric Stonestreet penetrate any part okay I'm not going to finish that thought.
Swiftly changing the subject, we have 3000 members exactly. Pretty good really. Also what's everyone's opinion of the whole Corby thing? I'm amazed she's getting out.
I am too! I was listening this morning and trying to decide on my opinion. I think there will be a big backlash in Indonesia.
P.S. Symbolism says this of the number 3000: "It is the microcosmic creature organizing itself to become a source of activity, a cause acting, a free and autonomous agent," according to R. Allendy.
Fascinating. Wikipedia says this of the number 3000:"3000 (three thousand) is the natural number following 2999 and preceding 3001."

Is anyone else procrastinating this afternoon?? I have 4 letters to write to GPs and REALLY don't want to start. But nor do I want them hanging over my head all weekend - and leaving them til Mon won't make them easier to write!
But is anyone doing anything fun and exciting with their afternoon? Or this morning (because if you are doing anything fun and exciting you probably won't be on GR until later)? Any adventures I can live vicariously?!
Brenda wrote: "A dramatic change of subject needed here people! ;)"Agreed. Angela should also apologise for turning this lovely thread into a festival of smut. Tsk tsk.

Indeed I am. I'm at work, though. :P got a mission with my milsim unit tonight though, that should be fun. Recreating the Battle of Mogadishu.

That's so special Brenda. Enjoy your time with him. :)
I've just come inside after chasing the neighbours dog who was running loose for the sixth time this week. How this dog is still alive I'm not sure as earlier on this week when it got out it came close to getting hit by a car. The same thing happened today only I thought it had as the driver of the slammed his breaks on and smoke from his tyres was everywhere and I couldn't see the dog, but thankfully it had run onto the nature strip. The driver of the car got out and started abusing me about letting my dog run in the middle of the road, but he soon apologised when I told him it wasn't my dog. Took the dog back to owners and I didn't evens get a thank you.The dog went inside and the owner closed the door on me. So now I'm all hot and bothered and very tempted to ring the council, but I know the dog is old and there is two children in that house so for their sake I can't. Hope it doesn't get out again.Sorry for the rant, but irresponsible dog owners really annoy me. Time for a cup of tea :)
Call the council. Seriously. I don't care if they have kids or if the dog is old, it is clearly not being looked after or kept safe. One of these days you aren't going to be around to save it and it is going to get hit by a car. Some people shouldn't be allowed to have animals.
