I've got a photo somewhere of Tally when her and her litter were kittens, they would aaaaaaall squeeze into one potted plant together, usually with a couple of them buried beneath the rest. Animals cuddling makes the best pictures.

Bella and Moses are adorable, fancy cuddling like that! And your poor cat Bette! Still the fur will grow back, probably thicker than before!

Sounds cute Liam!
Sounds cute Liam!
I have been admiring everyone's pictures, I do miss having a pet, I am a cat person, but with us moving so much, a cat is probably not the best choice, so we were thinking of adopting a dog, unfortunately I found out the other day that there is no vet where we live, so that idea has been put on hold until the next move :(A friend of mine posted this article on facebook the other day, pictures of animals and their mini-me offspring - some absolutely adorable pictures

When I get home I'll have to post this one video I saw on Facebook a year or so ago, the most adorable animals ever.

I'll see if I can post a picture. It's actually quite funny :)

Oh yes, there's absolutely no shortage of character there! He is an amazingly in your face cat.
And Bette - that is one slim leg. Cat's look so odd when they're "undressed" :)
Went to local Dymocks today for a browse. I'm surprise with the price for books. You can get new titles for like $25 or below with a nice hardback etc. I thought printed books are generally $32.95 or more, specially for new release... Is the publishing industry change in the last couple of years?
I have just booked to go to an advance screening of the movie of The Book Thief which will be followed by an interview with the author! Can't wait!

Well said, Tim Winton. Thanks for sharing, Brenda.
Thought I'd share our very different Christmas tree. Alan crafted it from fallen eucalypt branches. Decorating was my job. :)
Wishing all my Goodreads friends a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. May 2014 be your best year yet.
Cheers
Vicki

Hope Santa has something nice in his sack for you. A book perhaps? ;-)

Had my sisters, nieces and nephews staying this weekend for our family Christmas. Now I have three queen beds to change and wash linen etc. Lots of washing here today!

That's a lot of bedding, not to mention queen beds. Happy washing. :)
Wow all these cute & cuddly's. I think it's definitely time I started thinking about another dog.... life really is too short to live without one.
Anyone own a Kindle and an ipad at the same time? what is your experience with Kindle compare to ipad or other tabs. Saw Kindle Fire HD promo on David Jones for $159 today... Just wondering, what is the different from the Kindle app and the device itself.
I only own a Kindle, but prior to getting it, I used to read eBooks on my iPhone. There were several differences, but the major one was the comfort (in terms of no eye pain) from reading on the Kindle. Add to that the ability to read in full sunlight and I was sold.
I concur with what Leonie said. I have a Kindle but still read on my iPhone occasionally, like when I'm in a dentist's waiting room or a cafe on my own. I haven't seen a Kindle Fire - does that use the same e-ink technology the standalone readers do?

Tracey wrote: "Wow all these cute & cuddly's. I think it's definitely time I started thinking about another dog.... life really is too short to live without one."Tracey you will know when it is the right time for another dog, but seriously think about rehoming a rescue dog.
In today's paper and in the news, also going viral.... a mum filming her toddler in the backyard of their home in Whitebridge, a suburb of Newcastle spots a snake just above his head!!
