Excellent. The world needs more librarians!!There was a time when I thought of doing that myself...

Well technically I still won't be one - to be a librarian you have to go through the Uni librarianship course. I'll just be what I am now, only I'll have qualifications.

January 28, two days after my birthday :P

To be fair I get hayfever all year round :C just much less during autumn/winter.

message 9611: by Faye (new)

Faye (lastchapter) | 409 comments Heyfever is driving me crazy this year, I have also heard that it will get worse before it gets better, and none of the heyfever tablets seem to relieve the sneezing they have only stopped my skin from being so itchy.

message 9612: by Dale (new)

Dale Harcombe | 6969 comments Can sympathise with all you hay fever sufferers. I used to get it severely too. My eyes used to swell till they were only slits. And sneeze etc. Till I found out what I was allergic to and it was none of the common things. I could even have wattle in my home without any problem but couldn't get within metres of a crepe myrtle even if it wasn't flowering. Worse when it did. Keep me away from them and I'm fine.

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) I've just changed my internet and phone carrier to Telstra. Opted for their Max bundle: unlimited mobile calls to all carriers untimed, unlimited landline calls to all carriers/types of phone anywhere in Aust untimed and a beautiful 200gb of internet (with a modem and a stick). All for $115 pm. I'm pretty happy.

And they offer a free service where their customer tech comes to your house to set the internet up for you!

I'm pleased about that; just been through a should-have-been-painless but became a two month long painful process of swapping to a new laptop with a new operating system. To be safe, I got in an IT guy but he proved to be the worst IT person in the universe! I've become a little operating system/carrier shy, read that as nervous/just want to touch my laptop purely for fun stuff so I'm glad for Telstra's free service.

message 9624: by Vicki (new)

Vicki Tyley (vickityley) | 1732 comments That's an excellent deal, Bette. I'd certainly be happy with that.

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) Be careful Bette, Telstra are by far the worst internet suppliers I've ever dealt with.

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) Liam wrote: "Be careful Bette, Telstra are by far the worst internet suppliers I've ever dealt with."

Oh:( The deed is done now. I'm contracted for 12 months.

I've had Optus but here in south-west Victoria, they do admit they only have 80% proper coverage; trying to connect some days is murder and worse if there's a high wind for some reason. It has the habit of dropping out at crucial moments too.

message 9627: by B the BookAddict (new)

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) Vicki wrote: "That's an excellent deal, Bette. I'd certainly be happy with that."

Vicki, I had humongous phone bills, I call lots of people in Melbourne, SE NSW coast, QLD and USA on my landline and mobile. It's nothing for me to be on the phone for over an hour each time and the cost was starting to be ridiculous. This is what happens when you pack up and move down the coast - bigger phone bills. So it would have been silly not to try this new bundle.

Liam || Books 'n Beards (madbird) Hopefully you'll be fine. We don't even have a land line because we pay more in line maintenance than in actual calls.

message 9629: by Vicki (new)

Vicki Tyley (vickityley) | 1732 comments We have a landline* but don't use it. Instead we use Amaysim prepaid (no flagfall and 12c/min - only 6c/mim to US, UK, and NZ!). Since we've switched, we've saved a small fortune. Bette's Telstra deal is probably better for heavy users,

*We only keep the landline because we're in a bushfire-prone area.

I keep a landline because I run a business from home. I find mobile reception a bit too erratic.

My combined phone/internet bills were around $260 per month so this will be a real saving for me.
