No it's not just you....I'm finding mine are starting to filter through, but they're almost 1.5 hours after the posts were "posted"!

Haha! And how long ago was that Liam? Hope you had a good catch-up!

Well I've now verified my email address (thought I'd already done that once, but apparently not), so we'll see what happens.

That seems to be a bug too:( My emails are back though, and the other GR members who commented about the same problem have said theirs have returned.

My daughter just purchaed her first car, how scary, it is an older car all in good shape and safe, but when your child is spending their hard earned cash! But I am also very proud of her, paid cash and only 17, now registered in her name and insured. Time for mum to sit down with a nice cup of tea.

And a Bex Faye;) Congratulations to both you and your daughter!

Who was freaked out by last night's weather? Everyone's homes intact?I'm not easily scared, but I admit I got up for a couple of hours in the middle of the night by candlelight (power was out) in case the roof came off or the windows were blown in! I was sitting in the dark and listening to the wind howl and it was scary!
Probably not helped by the fact that in the high winds last week a large gum tree fell on my parent's garage destroying most of it and also damaging part of their roof.
I went back to bed about 3 am when the power came back on.

Yes it sure was a scary night Pjaye. Luckily I didn't get any damage here although I thought we were going to lose our pergola. And I'm always worried that the big gum tree out the front is going to come down and go through the bedroom.
They are saying more strong winds to come :( I hope it won't be as bad as last night.
We had our storm this afternoon. Lost power but no damage. Howling winds, rain etc. Hopefully not too much damage around, but it was pretty violent!

We've had nearly gale force winds here on the SW coast since last Thursday. The howling is creepy!

Awesome Jess! What a long and tedious wait. You won't know yourself when they come off!

Gosh, weather unreal here on the southcoast of victoria.Winds are very strong, rain and hail, very dull, almost dark. Was just out for coffee with a girlfriend and the shops opposite beach could not keep their doors shut the wind was so strong.

Thanks Vicki and Ashleigh. We have a lot of fun with the Lego! He's a lego freak, and we build lots of wondrous vehicles and buildings! But he's just gone to bed, in preparation for a full day tomorrow... such fun:)

Brenda wrote: "Grandson visiting for sleep-over = no reading + no computer;) Looks like a late night for me..lol"Enjoy Brenda. Lovely you're spending time with your grandson. I loved visiting my Granny. Michael, my 9 year old, and I are off to Ballarat for a few days, tomorrow. Going with a friend and her two kids. Haven't had a break since I started work in January so I'm really looking forward to it.
Have a great time Elaine. Sorry the weather looks like it won't be nice. I can send some of our heat down for you ;) Enjoy your break.

You might not get much reading done:)
Thanks guys. I know the weather is horrible here in Melbourne at the moment and it's a couple of degrees cooler in Ballarat but it'll be nice not to have to cook and clean and work for a few days. Hopefully the rain will let up just enough so we can do some sight seeing.
Vicki wrote: "Enjoy your Ballarat break, Elaine... regardless of what the weather throws at you."Thanks Vicki. I will. Will miss talking to you guys though as no computer for a few days. I hate doing stuff on my phone. :)

And here I was thinking we didn't have them here Liam! You must have jinxed us!! I rang the pest people today and they are coming tomorrow!!!
They sure are! I was so creeped out, even now I can imagine them crawling on me! I was glad my grandson was in bed already!

I just rechecked your photos Liam...this one is a little different, not as "pretty" if you like!
They're technically harmless, and actually kill harmful insects like mozzies or spiders or what have you, but yeah. Definitely not something I'd want around at any rate. The pest people? Cripes I hope you haven't got an infestation.
Haha! That was actually the catalyst..we have lots of spiders, especially redbacks so while I don't mind killing them, the sight of this thing was enough to make me phone them!
