Absolutely Brenda - it's full steam ahead now to get all the fix ups and editorial changes suggested then I can press 'publish' and move onto the next thing :)

Oh that is a long time Michael..ours resumed at the end of January, so only about 6 weeks without it! What's your first read, do you know yet?

Today we are talking The Toe Tag Quintet I think the next book is Occupation Diaries. Raja Shehadeh
I just hope my hard work will turn out to be worth the effort Margaret - thrillers are very new to me so trying to capture the right pacing and tension proved quite difficult. On the plus side though is I figure the worst that can happen is that it's a total flop and I go back to writing some more fantasy - I still have tons of stories to tell about Kaynos :)

I can't wait to read your thriller Tracey!

Finished my third book and published it, then went to do the ironing that had built up while I was head-down at work on my book. I'd nearly run out of clothes, was living in trackie dacks and pyjamas. Guess what gave me the biggest feeling of satisfaction? If you guessed my book, you'd be wrong!

The ironing of course;) I loathe ironing, and since my husband retired, I haven't done ANY!!! O_O!!

Classical to begin with, then 60's and 70's as the energy flags.
Brenda wrote: "C.A. wrote: "Finished my third book and published it, then went to do the ironing that had built up while I was head-down at work on my book. Like C.A., when the writing and publishing is happening, almost everything else takes second place.
I'm another one who avoids ironing like the plague. I tend to buy clothes that are wash and wear. In fact I think I only have maybe half a dozen items that actually do require ironing and I don't wear them very often ;)
Oh and I'm lucky, my hubby irons his own shirts - Robbie doesn't think I do a good enough job yippee!!!
Tracey wrote: "Oh and I'm lucky, my hubby irons his own shirts - Robbie doesn't think I do a good enough job yippee!!!"Now that's clever! Have you tried the same method with cooking and cleaning?

Not that it would worry me if I was - I'm not sure I'd know what an iron was if it hit me in the face! I certainly can't remember when I last ironed - sometime last year...

Ironing, what's that. Buy clothes that don't need it is my motto.Life's too short for ironing when you could be reading.
Dale wrote: "Ironing, what's that. Buy clothes that don't need it is my motto.Life's too short for ironing when you could be reading."Or writing....or going out.....or playing an instrument.....or painting a picture....or walking the dog....:)
Or going to the theatre. Dh and I went out the evening of Valentine's Day and saw Oh What a Night! a tribute show to Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons. A lot of fun.

Ron and I love to go dancing, too: we love the music of the 60's and 70's!

Not much ironing here, only the absolutely
necessary. I even try to buy work clothes from a place that no irnong is necessary, but still look great. That's funny one of the shops of buy from is called "Motto".

These days, I don't mind sacrificing a bit of coolness for the sake of no need to iron. The pure cotton clothes are probably a bit more comfortable in the summer than their synthetic blend counterparts, but....:)
Looks like it's unanimous - even though we no longer need to heat the iron on the stove, the electric inventions haven't stopped it being a chore. Someone needs to invent one that just does the ironing all by itself...ah, I need an ironing lady.

That's the one Sharon! You've just hit the nail on the head....poor ironing lady though;)

Sharon wrote: "Looks like it's unanimous - even though we no longer need to heat the iron on the stove, the electric inventions haven't stopped it being a chore. Someone needs to invent one that just does the iro..."Funny you should say that Sharon. When I was an enterprising 12 year old, desperate to earn some money, I would actually take in ironing from the ladies in the neighbourhood as well as all the usual stuff like baby-sitting and cleaning. I was on a good wicket for a while there often making $20-$25 a week. Of course I blew all my money on records and clothes but it was a fun time... for a while :)
Tracey, I remember being a little bit younger setting up cordial and biscuit stores on the sidewalk outside a block of units.
I hear there is a terrible storm heading in toward the east coast. Hope all my friends down-under stay safe!
Jeanne, I haven't listened to the news, but it just started to rain. I might have to go and put the news on LOL
Hey, Sharon. I have a writer friend a few hours above Sydney. She posted the news. I have dear friends in Melbourne. Just hoping all are safe. You too!
Very hot here in Melbourne today, I have all but a few drops left in my watertank. I really would like a downpour of rain.
I just had to race outside to get the washing in...the rain has stopped, but it was very heavy overnight, and is meant to storm later...It's very humid as well:(
We're getting short rain showers throughout the day. The wind is up a little also so it feels almost chilly after the incredibly high temps we were getting.Everyone in the path of the storm stay safe :)
Sharon wrote: "Just a quick storm, but it has stopped, and yes, Brenda, still humid here."
Just enough to make me have to use the dryer:(
