Replying to this super old post because I finished this story yesterday and was wondering the same thing. I think I figured it out.

It directly decodes to (view spoiler).

I still couldn't make sense of it, but a google search of the phrase corrected it to "(view spoiler)," which has me thinking (view spoiler).
