Jaro (aplaceofmarvels) | 73 comments I just separated an edition from this book, and then combined again when I became doubtful. I'm not sure how it should be handled.

The original hardcover collection contains only four stories. The Subsequent ebooks (and the VIE volume) use the same title, but cannot be considered reprints since the content differ radically. However, when I separated I saw that one (only one) review of the dobson hardcover was in fact a review of an ebook. This could be fixed with a message, but then I realized that many of the rating of the hardback could have been intended for the ebooks as well, since the Hardback has the most ratings and is listed first.

Does anyone (experts) have advice on this? I feel the hardcover edition should be separated from the other four since it's not the same book. I have listed the content of the different editions in book description, but more and more users will add the hardback when they mean the ebooks.

I know. That's why I separated them. But what if they have been combined for a long time and users have added an edition (the first one) when they meant another. Their ratings would then be on the wrong book. I did not combine them originally. I just recombined them when I discovered this.

That may be, but I think it would be a disservice to readers to separate editions in this main work:

I'm relatively certain that there are many such instances in older collections.

No, there are 3 different collections.
