So far, Vampire Crush is ah-mazing!!!!!!

K.C. Neal (kcneal) | 31 comments I started Blue Bloods (thanks, Tori ;-)) over the weekend, and I'm liking it so far. I especially like that the writing style seems more... um... sophisticated than a lot of other YA books I've read recently.

Think I'll start Vampire Academy next (thx, Patti!).

I'm sorry, but it's just so darn hard for me to picture those kinds of books in a library. Maybe i need to check my school one....

K.C. Neal (kcneal) | 31 comments Hee hee! My library must be like super hip! (Yeah, right....)

I actually looked around my library and many of the kinds of books there surprised me.... so maybe I just wasn't seeing, but only looking. ^-^

message 58: by K.C. (new)

K.C. Neal (kcneal) | 31 comments I'm totally lazy about the library - I request books online thru the library website and then somebody pulls them for me and puts them on the "hold" shelves. I haven't actually browsed the shelves in years. Aahhh, the internet! :D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry haha but to me it seems just like texting your nanny to get you a glass of water when she's just in the next room! (From a movie I watched!)

message 60: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (ramblingbooks) I agree with you all, Blue Bloods is amazing!
I love vampire books, the majority of the books I read are with vampires or something along that line, but I think it's kinda annoying that vampires are the new "thing", know what I mean? It's just that everywhere I look, there are more books, movies, or shows coming out about vampires and it's just a little overwhelming. But that's just my opinion :)

I know, aren't I just the worst? What can I say, trying to get the most out of my tax dollars that go to the library! :D

I agree. I'm waiting for something normal to be the new "thing" it would seem very refreshing! That or a new brand of creatures.

Lol! I guess I can't argue with that! ^-^

Kim | 20 comments @Tori-Is it just me or does it seem the new brand of creatures are angels? The good (Halo & Unearthly) and the bad(?) (Fallen & Hush,Hush)

I agree! I think angels are starting to replace vampires. Vampires are still kind of number one, but angels are close behind.

Yeah, you're right! But, oddly enough, that doesn't seem as "refreshing" as I thought. All are Fallen Angels. I'm waiting for the demons to show up, but since many of the books refer to Lucifer (Which I always thought of as a cat) I'm not so sure that I need to wait.

Patti | 327 comments Mod
Umm u thought lucifer was a cat?!

Lucifer sounds like a cats name.

Danielle (ramblingbooks) Tori wrote: "Lucifer sounds like a cats name."

Wasn't Lucifer the name of the cat in Cinderella? lol

I never knew that! Disney movies have a lot of weird little quirks in them.

There was a CAT in Cinderella?!

.....Ah, yes. Ehem. Well then. It was a cat's name, as I thought.

WAIT! DOES THAT MEAN LUCIFER IS REALLY A CAT IN A HUMAN SHAPED DISGUISE?!!?!?!?!

message 73: by Patti, The Reader (new)

Patti | 327 comments Mod
Wait HOLD ON. Lets not go that far.

message 74: by ~Tormiester~, The Writer (new)

~Tormiester~ (hatsoff343) | 363 comments Mod
Why not? Don't you want to know if the person everyone's afraid of is a cat?

message 75: by Patti, The Reader (new)

Patti | 327 comments Mod
Haven't you ever heard of Dante's Inferno? Or the Bible? Pretty sure he's not a cat!

Umm…Speaking of vampire books anyone read Misguided Angel?

message 76: by ~Tormiester~, The Writer (new)

~Tormiester~ (hatsoff343) | 363 comments Mod
yeah yeah... Anyways! I've only read the Schylar and Jack parts of it.

Btw! I've got to say that I do love the twilight books, just not the movies. A faceless book character is fine with me.

message 77: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (ramblingbooks) I love vampire books but hate how they became the subject for everything nowadays. Anyhow, twilight saga i pretty good. I honestly don't like the movies all too much. I liked eclipse though. I cant watch twilight without mocking it the whole time. The vampire diaries, vampire academy, blood blues and evernight series are all good in my opinion =)

Patti | 327 comments Mod
^ I agree with this except for the last book. And I can't help but laugh when watching the movies.

message 81: by Kim (new)

Kim | 20 comments I thought Haven was pretty good. Of course I had no idea before hand that it was about vampires.
